I tracked mine by reference on the DHL website. I used this as my reference: example: EXP 14 JAN 2008A (use the date that it was mailed to the embassy) You will get many results scroll down until you see the embassy that your paperwork was sent.

Ney Nicole. Do you know when NVC sent your package to Syria? I found a package that left NVC on Jan 10 and got to Syria on Jan 13. The reference number I used was EXP 10 JAN 2008A.

Mirla and everyone else who wonders about the status of your package after it leaves NVC:

Call DOS @ (202) 663-1225. option 1 then option 0. They can tell you if the embassy has received it, when the embassy sent package 3 (if applicable), when the embassy receives your package 3 response (if applicable) and the date of your interview. If you do not have your new case number they can provide it based upon your USCIS EAC #.

They may be able to also tell you if your package has arrived at NVC, but I am not positive about that part.

One thing to keep in mind is that DOS has no music while they have you on hold so you will wonder if you have been disconnected. Do not hang up, they will eventually pick up the call.

Bill, thanks for the info I do now my case was received at NVC cause we got the letter on saturday with date January 10. The letter has the INS receipt number and a new case number that starts with LMA2008 which I asume it means LIMA...

I anm coming on the 23rd but then straight to Cusco....then coming back on the 28th in the morning and fly out at 1040 on the 29th....Brianna's b'day.....I have to be back at work the next day......it is so short but it has been so long since we have seen each other that I decided we need this little bit of time or we both might just loose our minds.......this is what USCIS does not seem to underestand....it is the life and the love they waste and play with......and it is so wrong.......I hope I get to go to the hearings and testify.........so they have faces to the cases they play with for 7 or 8 months.....I am 17 days away from 8 months.....240 days.....it is not right

K1 Visa Timelines

Still here kind of losing the urge to check on vsc now. It would be nice to get even a touch, but I am now crossing my fingers they will get around to us in February. Just waiting on my ombudsman complaint and waiting on vsc's january update to see if they will let me make 'service' inquiry. Aughh!

the update should be tomorrow......right?????.....sorry you are still around but glad to hear from you ..........I know I keep saying this.....But this has to end soon.............

Zee - I saw that one too - after i finally figured out how to track it - That mite be it but i am not sure because when the Congressman's Rep called on friday the 11th NVC told him it would be sent sometime next week (meaning this week) and that package's sent date was the 10th... but I sent out the affidavit of support today to Micho along with copies of all the paperwork i sent originally to VSC and a copy of the approval for when he's ready to go to the Embassy.

My contact at the embassy told me they dont have anything called packets 3 and 4 - when he goes to the embassy the first time he needs to have forms DS- 156 and 157, 2 passport photos, and copies of his passport. If all goes well they'll schedule his interview and medical and give him the additional forms he needs for the interview and thats all.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed real tight bc everything is planned for April 26 and i m hoping he'll be here atleast a month before that.
