So folks, i have all the forms for the pack3 ready but im still confused. I read that some sent back all the forms with the checklist and some sent back only the checklist to the embassy. Whats the best thing to do? If i do have to send back everything, do i need to make a copy of each form and keep it?

It depends on the embassy. My fiance did not have to send back anything to get packet 4 because it is given with packet 3. It should be on your instructions what to send back.

It's for Frankfurt, the instruction first says that the forms should be returned and then say "Do not send the documents to this office"

Hmm, maybe that means you take them with you to the intervierw.

Isn't it clearly stated in the packet 3 what you have to do? Then maybe better to contact the embassy.
As for me I had to send back only the checklist, it was stated in packet 3; then after 2 weeks or so , I got packet 4 which had blank forms I had to fill in and bring to the interview. I didn't send any filled in forms or doc's, everything brought to teh interview.

I think you have to have not heard anything from them in 60 days. (like emails or papers back and forth) But you can try!

Hi Mirla! They could say that you have to wait 60 days for a service request but before that, they will have to look at your case and by then they might be able to tell you something. It can not hurt to ask, when you call you just have to tell them that you have filed in May and still no answer dont say anything about the RFE. Let them at least look into the system.

It is kinda stress relieving to make fun of them. It really is. THey still drive me nuts with their antics and the processing time change really takes the cake but...

Eventually, whoever is sitting on our files is going to get Spoken To. There's no reason for files to take seven to eight months. No reason at all.

Seriously, me coming from the Fatherland of bureaucracy, Germany, has made be as patient as a person can be. Even though it's crazy to make somebody wait six month or longer for a reply,ok, I can sit and wait if that is what I have to do.

All right, some more news which make me feel really,I mean really good:

The Congressman's office just called back.

They said Vermont gave them the info that our petition should be approved maybe in early March.....

That is the info the Congressman's office gave us several minutes ago....
I mean, yeah,makes perfect sense.....Vermont is too occupied with approving October petitions right now....

Pardon me????? Early March???? That would be like 8 months waiting......This is all f*cked up!

I think eight months is their number because they're getting that bad with their older petitions. Lora is at like seven and a quarter.. Virgil and I are just over seven months.

WE ARE APPROVED!!!!!! THEY MAILED NOA2 on 1/9/2008.
And you know with a feeling of great relief, I feel so much pain and bitterness...For me, for my dear beloved fiancee...FOR ALL of YOU still waiting...
WHY? Why would they do it this way? WHy would they make people who are really at the high point of their love and desire for each other go thru 168 (in my case) or even more days of suffering apart in pointless waiting...And this is while that actual review would only take minutes of time!!!
My case was spottless...better then any laywer could ever make...NO one question came up....they just happend to keep it in the dust for almost 6 month...In the dark dusty room where they have placed all of our amazing feeling for each other, all our hearts, burning with love, all our lives , put on hold...
I still do not understand and probably never will....As i bet many of you who is on this journey with me and my love...
Bless you all for I know you all are very strong, if dared to even start, knowing how it is....

I wish you all be together with your SO, and I wish you all so much real happiness, it will help you forget all this absurding waiting they made you go thru....
