Detroit is covered by the Nebraska Service Center. Recently, they have been transferring all their I-751s to California, but who knows what the procedure will be next June. Unfortunately, this far out it's pretty much impossible to predict what the timelines will be like. It all depends on the volume of applications they have and the resources they have allocated to process them at the time you file. From reading posts here it can take anywhere from a couple months to over a year. The good news is that the countdown to eligibility for citizenship is tied to when your conditional green card was issued, not to when the conditions are removed. So, even if it takes awhile to get the 10 year card, you really don't lose anything in the end.

After how long, one can apply for citizenship? is it three years from person come to US or 5 years from person come to US? I am US Citizen and my wife came in January of 2006. We got conditional and applying this saturday to remove it.

I am from Detroit.

If you're married to the same person who petitioned you, you become eligible to apply for citizenship two years and nine months after getting your permanent resident status. Conditional residency counts towards this requirement.
