Why does Visa Journey use Invision? There's a free alternative, PHPBB, which works much the same.

Invision is more solid with more features. It has more support, a more defined future, and better upgrade paths. Exploits are fixed faster, it is a faster software in general... list goes on .

Plus, this board was initially designed on a free version of ipb (version 1.3.x and below).

I remember back when we could make paypal donations but for some reason that's not possible anymore (because of UPL crapola? Dunno.)
I don't mind paying for my daily VJ fix.

I remember when a thread was started in the old forum re VJ goods, like t-shirts, etc, with the profit going to the site. I think thats still a good idea.
