I filed my I-129F back in July 19 and they recieved and cash the check on July 26. my question is, is it a good idea to call them and find out the status of the case or just wait for the NOA2. I think it might be soon, but I just can't wait anymore. Sorry it is my first time.

You can call, but they'll only give you the canned response that you are within the 6 month processing time.
CSC seems to be picking up the pace on July filers so hopefully you'll get that elusive NOA2 soon!
Good luck!

In my opinion, it is a complete waste of time calling the service centers before you get the NOA2. Even if they do touch your file, it wont speed it up or slow it down in any way. Just my opinion though! Seeing as we got our NOA2 without any calls or touches

We've called a few times but it hasn't resulted in any touches or really any information other than our case hasn't been assigned to an officer yet - don't panic though - you filed about the same time as me and I think we will hear something in the next couple of weeks - not long before NOA2 now
