Hello all,
I was wondering if you could let me know whether you went back 5 or 3 years while filling the Address and Employment fields on the N-400 form given that you are eligible through marriage. I have been reading but I would like to get recent filers feedback.
Thank you.

I did my N-400 by 5 years. USCIS already have your working history when you file your I-485. Just fill it out as detail and honest as possible if you are a creditable person. Wish you luck.

I work with an attorney who has a double specialty in criminal and immigration law, so I asked her. She said she always tells clients to do the last 5 years ... she says they might only really need 3 years but they're not telling so why risk it?

Are you still in New Jersey? God, I wish we were. We filed 6 weeks ago and in that time, receipting has advanced a whole 4 days. At this rate, it'll be sometime in the 2020s before we even get the NOA-1!

Spark, it is nice readign your posts again... yes, I'm still in Jersey. Not sure yet if naturalize me or not. I was going through the N-400 form and this question came up. Cause 5 years ago I was living in Spain...
Do you mind telling me the reasons why Gareth has decided to get citizenship? I'm still double-minded about this. Can he still keep his UK passport?
Thanks a lot to everyone for the replies.
