Once the check for the I-751 has been banked by USCIS, does this mean that the application has been accepted or is it immaterial to the process system.
My application was received by USCIS on November 19 but to date, the check has not been presented nor has an NOA been received.
I am not sweating on this but would be interested to hear of any other VJ'ers experiences.
Thanks

USCIS will only cash the check if they accept the filing. They usually write a receipt number on the check as well.

Hi Bryand1:
I have a friend who used to work at the USCIS and he told me the following:
The petition is essentially given a once-over to make sure that the date is correct, within the 90-days, the check is correct, etc. If not, all is returned under an RFE.
If cursory OK, the check is sent for processing (deposit) and the NOA is issued granting the 1 year extention. Then then system cranks out another NOA regarding biometrics. And the scrutiny really begins.
There is a fine line on the interpretation of "accepted" ... if you mean its now in the system, YES. If you mean that it has been approved, NO! BTW .. you can always get an RFE anywhere along the process!
... hope this (somewhat) helps...
