Just wondering if anyone ever got a medical appointment as weird as mine...

blink.gif

what did you do?
jj119
It looks like an error to me, unless st. lukes does medicals 24 hours a day. That is midnight and I guess you finish at 4 or 5 am then be at the embassy at 6:30 am. unsure.gif unsure.gif You better hope that a few cups of nescafe doesn't mess up any tests. I really think you should contact them to find out when it should be. Good luck.
jessel chris
You should call U.S. Embassy regarding your appointment its kinda weird..
ryza
i think its an error too. call USEM asap. though you can have an early medical too. good luck

weird schedule, Haven't heard something like that before. There must be an error with that.

mike and lani,

hello there.

sometimes that happens, the same date thing or appointments having same time.
You can go early medical at SLEC, at anytime you want. I advise having it as early as 2-3 weeks before interview date.
Try to call USEM, maybe they give you a default time. Or you might opt not to call, and be there 6:30 or earlier than that. Even if you're sked naman is like 8-10am pa, you have to be there nman as early as 6:30.

Good luck!

That has to be an error since the embassy recommends the medical at least 1 week before the interview in case a 2nd day at St. Rita's is needed. We're hoping for an interview around the same date as yours and I was telling my wife last night to plan on going for medical the first week of Jan on any day Tues-Fri. I would either call NVC or wait until the end of the week and check the embassy website to see if it's corrected before calling.

I just checked and they did the same with our appointments. Both are showing on 1-22-08 with SEMC at 12:00 and interview at 8:30. It must be a glich.

Hi during my time I had the same case medical and interview at the same time when I checked it online. Mine was NoV 20 2007, medical at st lukes 12 am then inteview with the consul at 6;30 am. I did not follow that since saint lukes extension clinic i think is not available for services during that wee hours except of couse at Saint lukes medical Center. I asked my husband in the USA to verify that at the NVC but the NVC told him that they are not the one responsible for medical appointment scheduling. My friend advice me to just go at Saint Lukes extension clinic as a walk in patient as long as you have the appointment letter because her family did the same thing. it should be 1 week or earlier before the medical interview. pls bring also the 2nd page of the packet which says travel documents where your case number and category are written. During my time i forgot the 2nd page and i had to call at home to get those info but the receptionist noted at the lower portion in my application for medical that i need to bring as well the 2nd page on the 2nd day of medical examination. You might as well xerox and give the xerox copy to saint lukes but show them the orig copy because the original docs are needed also during your consular interview. My time I have 2 copies of orig docs for the packet because my husband sent his copy to me, his copy arrived 3 weeks earlier than mine. Nevertheless during my medicl exam i have talked to other applicants that they're packet arrived 3 days before their interview thats why they were a bit stress, in short as long as you can complete your medical exam before your interview that will be fine but doing it 1 week b4 the interview can lessen the stress. I will advice you also avoid going to saint lukes monday, tuesday there are many applicants. better go on thursday so can finish it friday. Im supposed to go there thursday but i had an emergency so i went on friday there were smaller numbers of applicants ( im done at 10:30 am) compared when i went back on monday for vaccination and released. Medical exm usually last for 2 todays depending on the results of your blood test and x ray. I arrived there at 7:30 am because i had a hard time looking for the place. Good luck i hope my experienced help you in anyway. People at saint lukes are very nice and friendly dont worry, very systematic in handling patients just always refer to the reception area every floor they tell you to go through. God bless us

hi jj119, jessel chris, ryza and Nova17! it sure is a weird one isn't it? i know SLMC in QC has 24/7 operations, but i doubt if the same goes true with its satellite office. will try and call USEM and have this slight misunderstanding cleared. otherwise, i'm just planning to go for early medicals (probably 2 or 3 weeks) before the scheduled interview date.

hi rjp441!
first of all i want to congratulate you for finally getting your interview sked too! kicking.gif
on the matter of our medical and interview appointments, i agree with what you told your wife on just going for early (2 or 3 weeks ahead) medicals. nothing to lose anyway if its done earlier than sked. will even have enough time for re-test in case necessary good.gif

There's no error at all with the appointments. It also has happened to others and what they did is take the medical ahead of time (2-4 weeks the least).

i've read somewhere in this forum that you can actually just go to SLEC as a walk-in patient. just go there early and be polite to ask them to accomodate you. and DON'T go on a monday if u want to go there before your appointment date. good luck.

Yeah, same us mine. My interview scheduled Nov. 21 8:30 am and the St. Lukes appointment is NOv. 21 12 MN. I laughed with it since I know that the clinic will be open till 6 AM. It happened sometimes since they encode wrong information. It is confusing especially if there are a lot of applicants. Good luck.. biggrin.gif

Yes, I've read the embassy forwards your passport and pics and the medical results to the embassy.
