My heart goes out to all you CSC filers. I can only imagine how frustrating the process must be for you guys. But hang in there. It'll be all worth it in the end. Always remember that eventually you'll be together with the one you love.

I haven't even been touched. That itself is starting to make me worry that maybe my case is sitting in some corner not being looked at.

Its just so difficult because if I receive my NOA 2 in May or June that probably means I will not be with my sweetheart until October or November. Which means my K1 petition took about 11 months instead of the normal 7 which our VSC friends get.

Some October CSC filers called and were told that their cases were not yet assigned to immigration officers.
So I think my file is still on the self gathering dust.

Waiting for 130 days to get approved in 15 min.
Depressing.

Hopefully it doesn't take more than 15 min.

I called the National Visa Center this evening and they told me they received our petition today. They told me to call back on Friday to see if it's left for Montreal.

Hi all,

We were received NOA2 on 2/24/08 via email and received hard copy in mail five days later. I called NVC today to check on it and they said they haven't recieved the case yet after checking it by the receipt number.

Any clues why our case is being delayed while most cases reached NVC in a day or two? Does the country of fiancee has anything to do with it? Any suggestions?

yes your right .....i admit already that we have to wait 4 to 6 months before we got approved..... almost csc filers got approved 140 days or more,,,,,,csc is working now on october filers.....2 months more .... we can see light......god bless

I'm going to call on Wednesday to see if it's been entered into their system and if they have mailed out package 3.
YAY!

This is great news!!! I am so happy for you. I don't know about the Montreal embassy - but the Kyiv embassy says you don't have to rec'v packet 3, all is available on the embassy website. They state beacuse of the mail being a bit unreliable that all packet 3 documents are downloadable.
Since I have the NVC case #, once they rec'v petition from NVC we should be able to schedule medical and interview appointments. (i think)...

We get package 3 and we have to fill out the check list plus send back a few forms before they issue us an interview. They then send us package 4, which is an interview letter telling us when our interview is...then I can book my medical. I need that letter to book it.
It won't be long though, just a few more months.
It's so worth the wait!!!

another canadian here. i've been lurking for the past few months as my fiance and i prep everything. i'll be jumping on board as a march filer in the next week. we heard from our lawyer today that the paperwork is good to go. we prepared everything ourselves and he reviewed it for us free of charge. it pays to have hockey buddies who are next door neighbours and good friends with immigration lawyers! i'm feeling pretty darn proud of myself for pulling everything together on my own though. thank you VJ, of course!
