Seriously, this thread is for VJers who want to write something nice about a moderator. The only rule is you have to write something nice about
each one, so no one feels left out. I am serious people!!!! This thread is made in the spirit of good will!!!! and If you have nothing nice to say, please leave the topic be. Thanks
OK here goes:
Mags- Great sense of humor , and she also gives cooking tips by PM.
LaL- She's fair and gets to a topic lightning fast in ME/NA when I have reported someone 389 times

;I also know when I've gotten on her last nerves

Captain Ewok:

He wears the cutest little ewok clothes

and he seems to like my threads because I've seen him in a few

Mags: She's hot. She's funny. She makes good curry. She's insane. Erm, I mean.....
LaL: She's a house-fixer-upper person. What else needs to be said?

Ewok: He hasn't banned me yet, while Mags has. Hmmm.....

I have no problem with any of them personally. I do not believe in censorship. IMHO, people should be allowed to express any opinion about any subject (in any
adult forum such as this) without some third party rendering judgement and closing topics or editing member's profiles. If you don't like the channel, change it. It is that easy. You have controls, use them to block or ignore members if they offend you.

I abide by the censorship because I have agreed to but it doesn't mean that I agree with censorship, or that given the choice, I would keep it. Just my opinion.
Moderating is a pretty thankless task and the mods here seem to do a good job under the existing terms.

I am speaking about censorship, free speech, in the forums, not links. If you feel the need to revisit that old news, again, we can. Having a passive link is
far different than actively requesting people to conduct business or sending PMs advertising a product or service which I never did.

I agree with you. The constitution is irrelevant with regard to this site. I only consider expressed free thought should be welcomed on
any adult forum instead of censored because it may offend someone. It's no different than the "Merry Christmas" issue. If I say Merry Christmas enough could this thread be closed due to TOS? It
could offend.
Agreeing with a previous post, from MAWILSON "I have a huge problem with the concept of "moderation."" I, absolutely, do too. I'm an adult, I don't need "moderated".

I applaud the moderators and Ewok for their ability to stay neutral and non-combative in a thankless position. LaL and Mags are not being monterarily compensated for their efforts. At the same time that they are volunteering their personal time, they are also trying to get as much enjoyment and information out of this site as the rest of us are. Some members feel the need to be rude and negative in this thread, even though they were specifically asked to write only one nice thing. Obviously, this is too much to ask.
I would like to thank the members who have the class to be appreciative of the efforts of others without the need to be rude. Kudos to you too.

I just don't feel that credit is due. Moderators have power over other users to limit or remove
their power of expression, and the only reason people "volunteer" to be moderators is because
they want that power. They are the police, prosecutors, judges, juries and executioners.
They have power over our words, but we have none over theirs.

For the record, Mags didn't volunteer..... she accepted when asked.
I also agree with the others who have posted about the TOS being way too strict. I'm the sort of person who calls a moron a moron. Hence, my lack of posting. It's easier for me to just stay away than it is to be suspended by Mags every few days.

I agree.... I detest moderation.
Back in the day, I was a moderator on a pretty large pagan site (the one where I met Mags). My job there, initially, was to weed out the fluffy morons by making them implode. I never moved one post. I think I closed a couple - because I was told to. I couldn't really warn anyone, since I was flaming people right and left. The board was so much better back then.... no obvious morons really, and the fluffies who showed up new each day made for some really entertaining flame threads.
If a person can't deal with being told they're a moron, they shouldn't own a computer.

I also agree that when the TOS is scrictly interpretated, it's too restrictive, however, I haven't really seen any of the moderators take it that far. They do serve a purpose and that is to keep this forum on track of what it is here for. There has to be a certain level of civility if there's any chance of having a meaningful discussion about anything here. I think the moderators do a pretty good job of moderating those discussions without inhibiting free expression and thought. If they aren't getting any complaints over a heated discussion, they should let it ride out....which I think they try to do just that.
