I was watching a movie with the dog last night, The Hound of the Baskervilles. Being a beagle, he loved it. He stared at the TV, howling at the screen. I have never seen him happier (other than running with a pack of actual beagles). He definitely knows what type of dog he is - he only likes other hounds.

That's so true! I have a husky and I used to have a tape of a special from animal planet on the breed. There was this part where it showed the huskies getting ready for a sleigh race, all excited and howling...whenever she heard that she would go crazy and start howling too! it was the funniest thing. She also loves playing with other huskies
