You're my hero if you had the balls to chew them out.
I kissed butte for over a year and only replied Yes sir/mam afraid they would "click a button" and cause me big problems.
I never had to be such a big whimp in my life.
One of the operators could barely speak English and he said I couldn't call again for 30 days and was noting such in my file.
Reason was I called 2 times in one day. Unlucky as I got the same jerk.
I wanted to fly to California and catch the guy in a dark alley when he got off work.
BP is high right now thinking about it and it was over a year ago! GRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Ok called the number to see if anyone was awake and guess what - yes they were, the best part is that the guy told me they had nothing to do with USCIS and to call 1 800 375-5283. I told him that number was on my speed dial right after my husbands number......he sounded as if I woke him up. SAD!!!!!

During the DAY, they'll transfer you to the omsbudsmans office, the ombudsman's office handles case problems and such. At NIGHT, I think they are some kind of command center or something. Anyway, I dont think i'll be calling them again hehe, I got my (1) free shot. At least I feel better now. Happy holidays to them....

I don't think this type of rabble rousing is helpful to anyone. I don't think your fiancee will be at all pleased.

Wife, not fiance, and you're right, she chewed me out. I still feel better tho.

Its a no-win situation to fight with the USCIS so I recommend just kick back and enjoy the ride
LaL
Harassing USCIS is really not recommended nor encouraged.
Urge To Race
Right. trying to harass USCIS will in absolutely no way help you get your SO here any sooner. It might hurt more than you know.

The system may need reforming, but that can be attempted in more constructive ways. Going nuts helps nobody. Suggesting to others that they go nuts really helps nobody. Everybody wants to get to the end of the journey, everyone gets frustrated. You have must maintain your sanity.

OP, by the looks of your timeline, you are not that far from a plain old approval (barring some unforeseen problems). I can guarantee you getting your NOA2s will feel much better than "chewing out" some person who answers the "directors" number at USCIS in DC.

Lets just hope that now you have your approval that it isn't revoke and your case is won't be sent back for re-adjudication. Unless you were joking about the police being at your door or that it was for unrelated reasons, I think they have shown you how far they can reach.
rebeccajo
They won't pull the approval.

But way to go D&N! Phoning the offices of the Director and making harrassing and inflammatory comments.

You're a genius.

I certainly hope so as that would be rather unfortunate and devastating to his wife but he did say the police showed up to his door. We don't know what D&N said to them and how severe the consequences may be as a result.

In my personal experience, my I-130 was recalled after almost being completed at the NVC despite the CSC having no record of asking for it back, it took three months for it to make it's way back to the NVC.
My point is- sometime even approval at the USCIS doesn't mean that you will move forward- at least in a timely manner.

Urge To Race
It is also worth noting that the approval had nothing to do with calling and harassing anybody. As I said earlier, you were pretty close to due for your approval because you had waiting long enough. Anybody who has waited 2 months and thinks that they will get their approval sooner by imitating you will not do themselves any good.

If the police showed up at his door, it's because he behaved like a head case on the phone and there were security issues at stake.

I do believe that the statement that the police were at his door was a goof on the issue at hand. Nothing more, and I really dont think at this point he would jeopardize what he has waited for - oh wait that would be heresay.

Oh well CONGRATS THO

David -

I know several people who are regular posters to immigration forums across the web. Real students of the service, mind you, who had both negative and positive things to say about it.

The normal behavioral pattern for those people is to lay pretty low when it comes to disclosing their identity, and especially that of their immigrant spouse. I have often wondered why they were so cautious. I've not gone to great lengths at all to keep our identity concealed because I've got an honesty is best policy attitude. I'm no more 'scared' than you are but I'm also not careless. $hit rolls downhill, you know.
