I have been with my husband for 6 years and this year we decided to get married. We filed to green card (for myself, he is USC) and got conditional GC this July. Recently I got verbally abused by him and I am getting so tired of being around him. I really want to seperate for a while but I dont know if I can stay/work in the U.S. legally? I cant file removal of conditional GC till 2009 summer. Will I need him to get my conditional GC removed? What should I do?

It is your greencard and you can stay and work as you wish for as long as it is valid. Under certain circumstances you can remove the conditions yourself.
