Hi everyone! I just wanted to ask if there are any cases that got NOA2 without getting NOA1?? I've applied 2 months and a week ago and didn't get any NOA1 ..

You could try giving your service centre a call. Has your check been cashed yet? The usual USCIS standards are that it can take up to 90 days to receive your NOA1 so the most likely outcome of calling the service centre would be to'call back after 90 days'. I think there are people on this forum though who are in the same position as you and waiting for their NOA1 also. Its no consolation I know, but at least you know youre not alone. But if your check has been cashed, then you can use the number on the back of the check to track your petition on the USCIS website.

Thanks for your answer. I don't know if my check has been cashed or not. I sent MONEY ORDER of 455$ and I have no idea how to check if its been cashed or not!? Can anyone help me?

I never got an NOA1. CSC says they sent it on Aug 02. They cashed my check. They say not to worry.

We never received our NOA1 but we did get our NOA2

Yes we are in the same boat per se. I kept a copy of my receipt for the money order that I got so if you have that and remember where you got it from, then just call them and they will let you know. Most money orders have a delay of about 3-5 days of clearing.

Yes my money order check was cashed. I called western union and they told me it was cashed on September 24,2007.. is that like the date of my NOA1?

Your NOA1 will be close to the date your check was cashed. Our NOA1 is marked as 11th Sept, and our check was cashed 13th Sept. So by the looks of it, you do have an NOA1 in the system, you just havent received the hard copy of it. The hard copy is pretty useless to be honest so its no biggie. By the looks of things, you should be fine. Have you thought about getting in contact with the company who you put the money order through with....they should be able to send you a copy of the cancelled check and on the back of it there should be your case number which you can track online (from that you can find out the exact date of your NOA1).

I also sent in my application ( I-130 ) 2 months ago and have not recieved my NOA1. They tell me is should be coming in around 30 days. Until then I guess I`ll have to wait patiently.

• CSC is particularly bad about sending NOA1's.
• The check cash date is NOT a good indicator of NOA1 date. For some it's a day or two. For others (like myself), it is several months after.
• 90 days after you file, if you still don't have NOA1, call USCIS and they will look up your case number, and you can request a new NOA1, which will show the proper dates.
