Far from useless, just ask my kids and my boss, have my bachelors in business admin AND my cpa, and I know exactly what I'm talking about. OK Wael you even confirmed that you were implying something sinister about Adam's motives and I find that rude and un-called for. Now as for your other comments, I just consider the source. Wow alot of comments since I last posted... interesting stuff...

Let me assure you there is NOTHING my husband can do that would make his MC paper appear or come any faster right now... its in the mail going to Cairo office and he will go again to Cairo this week to see if it got there. He got with the best people he knew that could help him. And He wrote a letter of concern and complaint in the gov website email address of the Passport Office... still no reply... kinda like the stunt the Embassy does with their emails ... they reply when they reply.
The Alex office has some issues bcz it still isnt there and its been 7 weeks. Something is wrong with them there bcz i was with my husband Sept 9th when he applied there.
7+ weeks of waiting for us has been a test of patience for my huband and I. Egypt is majorly unorganized

*side note* MOST of the people on VJ dont know hardly ANYTHING about me and my husbands personal life and the 2 that do , they understand where Im coming from ... it matters WHO u know. GOD doesnt give us more than we can bear...

Anyways, Adam will get it soon from the Cairo office... I believe it

I called DOS today and asked them to find out IF it really is NECESSARY for us to get the MC paper... and that its been 7+ weeks of waiting for the MC paper... they told me that if the Embassy doesnt get the paper and passport before the end of this month then his security checks will start all back over again !

but Im being hopeful and praying that he will get it on Saturday or Sunday... then he can send it on in to the embassy and hopefully get his visa BEFORE Thanksgiving! I would LOVE that alot !

OMG Tamara that is B.S. I thought that they were going to mail it to the Embassy? I think Adam needs to go camp out at the place where they get the MC and demand they give it to him. this process is very emotionally torturing... im sorry to always get on here and vent and be sad... but most all my friends and family have no idea what I am going thru with this process... they cant understand this.
I work 2 jobs 6 days a week to keep my mind busy, but it still doesnt help or take the emotional pain away... I still think constantly of all this... Most of the time I dont pick up the phone any more when a friend calls bcz I know they will ask how me and adam are and when he is coming... I dont know anymore, I dont know anything anymore... i just keep hoping and praying for this process to be over with and my husband be here with me... I just want to be happy in life... and he makes me happy... I just want my husband.

Tam I'm so sorry you and Adam are going thrugh this.

But you need to keep the faith. He has till the end of the month right? That is still 3 more weeks. Have him go there every day. And bug there a$$e$. Has he asked if he can pay a fee to have it rushed. One thing I learned in Egypt money talks there. Hang in there girl. Were all here for you if you need to talk or vent.

You are correct that nobody understands unless you have a long distance relationship. Waiting here and not being able to do anything in this situation has got to be maddening, especially when it sounds like you are close to getting the visa once you have the MC. Hang in there!! I think the fact that my husband applied in 2 places for the MC paper slowed the process down... from what I understand... It is being worked on and hopefully he will get it next week.

Washington DC was no help to me whatsoever... they told the senators office that ....

Thank you for your email. I spoke with the Department of State and they informed me that the movement certificate is a request specific to the consulate in Egypt . This is requested when the beneficiary has a US citizen parent of Egyptian origin. I hope this helps.

That absolutely makes NO sense bcz my husbands parents are NOT US citizens and neither have they stepped foot into the US... and when last year we filed our G325A it said where his parents were born... and that his family never been in US ...

SO obviously the senators have people working for them making ALOT of money working 8-4 M-F for NOTHING!

Dang it ! Tam, that sucks! I think the part about the parents being in USA applies to a different situation. When applying for a passport for an American baby born in Egypt, you have to provide a movement certificate for the Egyptian-born USC parent.

It doesn't apply whatsoever to your case!! The senator's office was probably just as confused as we are right now. Have you written them again to tell them that that situation is completely different from yours? Maybe they can contact them again.

Its hard everyday waiting on this mc paper 9 1/2 weeks... i just get so upset about this

... we were told check on Saturday... so in 12 hours I shall see. Nicky girl, you know we are trying... its not fair what they are doing to us ... adam has been good dealing with my crying today...I tried to call u... but you was sleeping... lol its ok... i will call u again soon. I also sent a long email to the Senators office aide that is looking into my case... she said she will check into it and get back with me as soon as she hears something... who knows when that will be...
but believe me, i sent her a LONG email about what Dept of State told her about his parents being US citizens...
Im thinking about going back to Egypt in January... a big maybe ... depending on how things go with his MC paper...*IF* they give it to him this week or not... bcz if not, then his security clearance starts all back over again... then that means he wont be with me until after February next year... and that is *if the embassy doesnt request a newer MC paper... this process has emptied my spirit...

it seems like my life is full of ups and downs and heartaches... the people i love the most in life always get taken away from me.... even though adam isnt taken away from me hes being with held from me ... its just not right

Just checked in on ya to see if there were any updates on that mc paper. After what I read about his parents not being USC and never been here this is down right ignorant and really makes my blood pressure go up!! I'm still praying for you dear but I am hoping that somebody in our government jumps all over this. Heres what the embassy wrote to the Senators aide who wrote to the embassy on our behalf about the MC paper. We applied for k3 visa so I am confused what IV cases mean... Kara or anyone else... what do u think?

Ms. Hayes,

Here is further clarification directly from the embassy. They say the "movement certificate" is used in IV cases when additional verification regarding time in the US/Egypt is needed. Please relay this to your constituent.

"IV" just means "Immigrant Visa" (even though the K-3 is technically not an immigrant visa, the consulates tend to group it under that division.)

Its a paper requested from the Embassy and it tells whether the guy has travelled before or not... it is requested I believe mostly or only in MENA countries and its from the Passport office there.

My husband NEVER travelled before!

The Embassy called my husband today and asked him about the MC paper! He told her that hes been waiting and trying to get it for 3 months now... she said they want his MC paper and passport! ! ! Im happy and sad ! Im glad they want it and that they want to give him a visa but Im angry and sad bcz no one will give him the MC paper ! Its a heartbreaking and depressing feeling....

Have you thought about paying an attorney a flat fee to go ask someone about the paper? I bet you an egyptian attorney and a couple hundred dollars could get it fast...some one wants a bribe..

Not even an attorney could get that paper.... Its not at the Office... so we are not going to spend money for that bcz we know its not there... The Embassy called him again yesterday... so 2nd phone call in less than 24hours... so its making some eyes and minds to see that something is going on for us... Plus my two Senators and myself emailing the Embassy...

You are saying this govt office is not giving any answers on why this paper is taking over 3mths? It just doesnt seem logical. ok maybe if he was a world traveler....possible that it would take slightly longer.....but hes never been out.......im sure this office isnt booming with business for these things..hope you can get some straight answers soon.
