Well i made it back safetly from Pakistan last week. What a trip. My husband lives in Swat where the fighting is going on and just as I arrived there the military started to set up camp in his village to bomb at the militants there in other villages. Our plans went to hell becouse he couldnt take me out anywhere. His village was peacefull right before i got there.

They started to bomb them the second week i arrived. I wasnt very scared though, him and his family made me feel very safe there. I had my wedding but no reletives could come becouse of the bombing.

To make things worse his jelouse reletive called some illegal radio station that has illegal broadcast from militants and told them that my husband from that village had an american girl there with him. They had to evacuate me from his village to peshawar. He didnt tell me this till the last day i left so i wouldnt be scared.

Now, I get home and the bombing has become much much worse and shootings , so now he might leave his home. The woman are already gone from his home. Anyway, I am worried for him becouse he doesnt want to leave his home so nobody occupies it.

I am ready to file for him but what if he moves from place to place. I have to wait now. This is crazy. His area was a popular tourist place of Pakistan at one time. I didnt get to see hardly any of it. I pray his family makes it through this bullcrap. I would post a pic of us but i dont want to take a chance of him getting into any kind of trouble there. They were the nicest poeple i have ever met in my life.

Sorry to hear of the trouble you encountered there. I can't even imagine life like that, being from Canada, and now living in the U.S.

I guess I should count my blessings every single day that I have had the opportunity to live in such safe countries all my life.

Wow what an awful experience you had there, sounds so scary! ohmy.gif Is there any trusted relative with a stable address, that you can use for the visa paperwork? There won't be anything sent there anyway for several months, till the NOA2 comes. I would get that paperwork rolling ASAP, and rescue your hubby from that dangerous situation!

I understand his concern about leaving his house, but he has to think of his own safety too. Prayers for all to work out OK there. rose.gif

Pugsly, I know how you feel as my husband is also from Pakistan. While I was in Karachi in Feb, March and April, we were in a shooting, the prez was ousting the judge, there was soooo much goin on, when I was there as well. I agree, You should go ahead and get all your paper work together and get it filed. I filed ours back in June and we still have not heard anything, but it was touched twice, Nov 19 & 20th of this week!!! So we are praying we will get that soon insha allaahh!!!

You and your husband are in my prayers and I hope everything will be fine soon in his village. Insha Allaah!!!!

Thank you for your prayers and support. I just dont know what to do. They are very brave people and put up with so much. They just want to live thier life like everyone else. I learned so much by going there. My husband is so brave he just wants too see me on cam smiling. Imagine that , thats all he is concerned about is my happiness. Maybe i will file the papers right away. I was just concerned about the address changes.

The address change is something you will have to deal with later, but you don't really have a choice. Get the papers in.
