Hi Folks,
I like to check the followings with you to make sure I am all right:
1. I am going to file I864EZ instead of I864 as I am the petitioner sponsoring my wife(the only beneficiary) using my own income only.
2. I am going to submit the IRS transcript of my tax return of the latest year (2006), not from last three years(which is optional). It also won't help me as my incomes in 2005 and in 2004 were below poverty level as I was a student and was not working full time. Not going to submit W2s with the transcript as it is not required if I submit IRS transcript.
3. Going to submit an employment letter with last six months pay stubs as my current income is not same as last year's income as reported in the transcript.
Thanks in advance for your inputs...

Hi,
NVC says its all optional, but then many people have got RFE's because of that. Send 3 years IRS transcripts even if your income was below. Send the W2, they are very essentail. Send in your bank statement. The Employment letter is perfect... please mention your annual income in the letter, your position and grosss revenue.
God bless you.

The key to using I-864EZ is that you are using your income only to sponsor your beneficiary, no proof assets needed. Here are key things to remember:
* Current income is what matters most. If you are above the 125% poverty guidelines, then you are safe.
* The previous years income is optional, but adviseable to send it in anyways even though you say you did not reach the guidelines
* If submitting the IRS transcripts, no need to attach the W2s with it
* Employment letter and 6 months paystubs to the current is the best proof to show you are above 125% poverty guidelines
Good luck!
