I was just browsing the new VJ Wiki and I have started a Canada page here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Canada

I just put a bit of text in there to get started, not even sure if I got the region cutoffs right, but someone let me know if I didn't smile.gif

Anyway, I just thought this would be a good opportunity to get our Canada information in one place so wanted to let you all know it is there.

If you aren't comfortable editing the Wiki or just don't want to attempt it, but you have information to add, you can let me know and I will help/add it for you (if you already have it typed out haha).

Plus maybe we can discuss in this thread suggestions of what should be there etc etc

Nicely done good.gif The region cut-offs are correct, and it is nice to see a start towards our own little section for us Canucks in the wiki:)

Ok I added IR5 - hey, there is no IR5 guide is there? So if you wrote up a guide in the wiki for it, I could link to it! good.gif

I'll only talk about what I know about Police checks- if you get it from the RCMP. there is a difference between "Criminal Record Check" and"Canadian Police Certificate" I have both- I brought both to the Vancouver Consulate- the Canadian Police Certificate was the one he accepted. The girl sitting next to me only had the criminal record check and she was told she would have to go and get the police certificate.

Good start. smile.gif

Doesn't Manitoba and westward go to the Vancouver consulate? It currently says that Manitoba and eastward go to Montreal, but I'm not 100% sure which way is correct.

Dont matter!! This Sunday (Grey Cup) Sask is going to wipe out Manitoba!!

Vancouver consulate has the jurisdiction of Manitoba and westward. I only know this because one of my good buddies (who I met thru VJ, yeaaaa) was from Northern Manitoba and got that consulate as a result. smile.gif

Hi Shawna

You will probably get more answers on this if you start a new topic but anyhoo, there are requirements and there is a valuable link to the requisites, unfortunately I don't know what it is smile.gif

Anyway here are a few links for this topic in the Canada forum:

Importing the car part 1

Importing the car part 2

Crossing the border with car
