Well..my nerves are shot..anxiety has taken over...and I'm sure Pete's feeling the same..lol. But..finally, after 8 months..we can be together forever!!

I'm picking him up from Cleveland tomorrow evening...but his P.O.E. is Newark.

Anyone have any last minute pointers about the P.O.E.??

OH...and I know we've got to apply for the social security card..but what else after that?....and as far as us being able to eventually travel back to the UK...when does that happen..I know we will have to get him another passport ..right?

Lol..that's what we're hoping...however...being the Thanksgiving Holiday...there's bound to be chaotic traveling everywhere... lol

Wait a couple of weeks before you go for his SS number. His entry into the country will take at least that long to be entered in appropriate databases.

He can't travel back home till you apply for his adjustment of status and he has received advance parole.

Why do you think he needs a new passport?

He can continue to keep his UK passport, he wouldn't be able to apply for a US one until he is a citizen anyway.

Welcome to the US Pete!! No new passport required unless your UK passport will expire soon.... you don't get a US passport until you become a citizen.... that's a ways off!!
