Ive notice something about the application which were submitted. At the upper right corner of the application forms, they have the OMB# and the expiration date. For the G-325A , it will expire 5/31/09 and for the form I-129f it will expire1/31/2010 which is okay and safe. For the I-130 it says there OMB No. 1615-0012; Expires 11/30/07. What do you mean by that? Does it mean that our application will expire next week?; and I haven't gotten any approval yet. My 6th month would be on Dec.1 for the I-130. and according to their website, the time frame for the I-130 is 6 months. Actually I've noticed in most cases that they got their approval for I-130 and I-129f both in the same day, since they are both in the same service center. I feel so frustrated that until now, I haven't gotten any news from them. any help would be appreciated.

Its alright, the form I-130 doesn't have an updated version yet so you can still use it. Be sure to download it from USCIS site. If they have an updated version and you used the old one, they will return your application.

spider girl, so you mean, if they have the updated version, they will simply return my application even I filed it 6 months ago? and wait another six months of approval?
Urge To Race
No. The version you file should be the current version of the form at the time that you file it. You already filed the I130, you filed the current version of the form, you are ok.

Even after the expiry date passes, if they USCIS does not issue an updated version of the form, the expired form will be the current version, and those that file using it would be ok. When an updated version is released, USCIS will indicate if and for how long they will still accept the previous version of the form. Only for drastic or important changes (like adding the IMBRA question to the I129F) would they immediately stop accepting the older versions of the form.

But again, the form is definitely current as of your filing, so no worries

thank you urge to race! I still got questions coz I'm a newbie here. I got series of answers. Dont know which of those is right. Let me introduced myself. m from the philippines and my hubby is from washington. I just have few questions regarding k3. So frustrating that we sent the I-130 package may 8, 2007. My hubby called USCIS and was told they got it may 15. But when I checked online it says there On June 1, 2007 we received this I-130..... and the receipt date is July 11.we got the hardcopy of the receipt notice July 18. When will I start counting? Is it from June 1st or from July 11?
Another thing, since We got the hardcopy of the receipt notice late, we file the I-129f july 18, and was receive by the USCIS July 24. it was transferred to laguna niguel aug 9, so does it mean I have to count from the date of the transfer aug.9 even USCIS receives it JUly 24? Plsss. help me. So confused. We are in the same boat and you guys are the one giving me hope.
Urge To Race
pechez,
The date question is a confusing one. The stated policy is that they go by received date. What are the 2 dates on your hard copy of the NOA1? There should be a received date and a notice date? They traditionally go by notice date to start the count (even though they said they would go by received date which is earlier for many filers after April).

For the I129F, they would not count from the transfer date, but also from either the Notice date or received date from the NOA1. They still seemed to be going by Notice date as of late.

so frustrating, in our hardcopy, there is no received date. only the receipt date. the date is july 11. So you mean, I should start counting july 11?
