Hello all out there........My husbands interview was way back in july of 05 and he was put on AP.......Since then i have moved to west africa to live with him ........I'm 6 months pregnant.......I'm happy to be with my husband and to be having this baby but as all might understand, the living conditions here are horrible...........no decent hospitals to have the baby..........i'm planning a tirp to the US to deliver and i was wondering if there is anything i can do to get my husband a temp. visa to be there for the delivery.........Also DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY AP IS TAKING SO LONG...........everytime i call i get the same answere.." just call back in 2 weeks" "there is no way of telling how long it will take" and so on............has anyone been in this situation,,,,,,I think a year a 5 months is a pretty long time for AP........

I can't even hazard to guess how long it is going to take for your Administrative Processing.

It could be that they are doing additional securities checks on your husband. If he has a common name and is of muslim decent, it could be more than a few months waiting.

In the interem, I don't think he could even get a tourist visa. Since he would have to undergo those same security checks for a tourist visa (which are the same security checks holding up his immigrant visa)
