Good day everyone...

I would like to start a new thread to track all of us JULY, I-129F/K3 Filers. As you can see only my I-30 is approved since I sent this in May. I sent my I-129F on July 20th and until now I have not been approved (pending). I would appreciate if you could share the progress of your I-129F's filed in July.

THANKS!!!
Shamim

My timeline is below. I have heard nothing. And aside from the initial touches, I've received no touches. It's just totally depressing coming into the holidays without my husband. It's doubly hard because the lack of progress at CSC with the filers in April, May and June plays on my fears that I won't hear anything until after 2008 has begun. crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif

Hang in there! Apparently USCIS is currently approving I-129F (K3) petitions from May and June. We filed in July, so we just have to be a little more patient and our time will come...sooner or later.

LOL I tried two times to get this started for the July K3 filers!!!! Yea, we should get the next round simetime in December.... Looks like most are taking about 5 months... then we wait some more... Don't look like it will be a merry Christmas for me and my wife. I have been with her for 20 days in the last two years of our relationship... I guess a few months more will just bring us a little closer... shishhhhhh the waiting!!!!!! And being in the interior of Alaska don't help none wacko.gif Hang in there all! I see there are many of us July filers still pending, so I guess we are withing the "normal" processing times. I just wish things went by faster...
Good luck to all of you and please keep posting your progress. I would like to know when USCIS begins approving us July K3 filers. Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving.

Hey guys I was touched again today. I am a little worried here, is this a good sign or bad? I have read that many touches can also mean the dreaded RFE letter. What do you think?

I am going to see my wife in Chile SOON, are any of you guys traveling during the holidays to see your spouses?

Hi Duende, can you please fill in your timeline? It's hard to know if you're close to approval or what's going on because I can't see the dates for your NOA1 for the I-130 or the I-129. Thanks!

My I-130 was last update 7/11 tht's when the time they issue the receipt notice. My I-129f was last updated 8/22. and still no touches until now. I'm really worried. no touches yet! same here. were on the same boat.check my timeline!

Nothing here yet. Just pending. I think we, June/July filers, are in a BIG pile......the approval dates are creeping closer though..The June 130's are getting approved pretty quickly and the July 129's are starting to pop up. Soon I hope. We've given up completing the process by the first of the year. Remember when we filed in June? 100-120 day processing times? (Laughing) Hopefully soon....

I got a non-call touch a few days ago, it was on the I130 only, so are there any common I-130 RFE's? Since I have the whole package scanned and in PDF I re-reviewed what we sent and it's pretty solid. So I'm not really THAT worried only mild concern.

Let us know if any of you who filed mid June/mid July start hearing anything.

Regards,

David and Nitadyah

Congrats YGandMat! kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif I hope you have a speedy rest of the journey.

**********

On an other note, I realized today that it's been 145 days from my I-130 Priority Date and it hit me like a ton of bricks. It's not as long as others I realize, but it just made me hugely depressed since I have received no touches since I filed (if only to indicate that my file isn't lost in some giant blackhole). No end is in sight and the wait is unbearable some days. My husband and I simply trade back and forth on lifting each other out of depression through this process. It just irks me that employment based visas get such priority while the politicians give lip service to family values. So much for family values when you're keeping families apart for such horrendously long amounts of time.

Sorry for venting everyone. I'm just sad and angry and I'm just really feeling it today. mad.gif sad.gif

Hi Duende - My wife will be spending the New Year with me here in Philippines. Thank God for that! good.gif She'll be staying with me for 24 days. I'm still hoping beyond hope that the approval process speeds up and that she can already bring me to the U.S. by the time she goes back...huhuhuhuhu... crying.gif

Hi YG and Mat - congrats again on your approved I-129F! kicking.gif

Hi All - Let's all hang on in there! Hopefully we get approved by December the latest!
Leomar
Still thumb twiddling. That processing time seems to keep growing, kind of like minimum social security age. Somehow, by the time i'll receive it i'll have to be 138 in order to claim it...hopefully she'll be here before I'm 118 tongue.gif

I realized the dates we filed both our applications are close. We have different service centers and regions where our spouses are though.

I spent the entire day today sitting in a seminar with USCIS people from CSC. I tried and tried and tried to pry any info from them that I could about what's going on with them internally. Unfortunately, none of them were adjudicators and all I could get was that they were running lean due to having to fund their entire operation. The wait continues............... wacko.gif
nksj
FYI: Just did the RFE trick for the first time and spoke to an officer. He said that they were processing I-130s with May 2007 received dates; that likely I would hear by next year (given that I have July 2007 rec'd dates and that the holidays were coming up) regarding the I-130 and I-129F; that the 6 month processing time meant only that an officer would be receiving my file to work on within 6 months, not that I'd have an answer within 6 months; and that they adjudicate the I-130 before the I-129F (K3) because they need to verify the relationship first.

Bah humbug. sad.gif

Well, I hope they're speedier than he thinks they'll be. I guess we're all going to get a good lesson in patience and letting go through this process. wacko.gif

I called today the USCIS to ask about our petition and said me,they are proceeding petition with file date June 1.

CONGRATULATIONS....WE ARE VERY HAPPY FOR YOU. NKSJ was also approved today...it appears like USCIS has finally started approving JULY petitions. Don't worry, I think both of your petitions were approved...it's just that the computer system at USCIS is so bad that lately only the I-130 cases are updated on the website....but not the I-129F (strange, huh).

My wife and I was talking about seeing each other and the price of air fairs have doubled in the last 6 months. Now that I had to resign from my job money is a little tight and I was hoping to wait till the interview to decide on traviling but she is getting very depressed as most of us do. I don't really care what the cost of the airfair is but I would hate to see us have to turn around and spend another 4 or 5g in airfairs two weeks after I return home... Especially without her again.... My heart can't take another good bye!!!!

How long does it usually take after the NOA2 till the interview????

I have been looking at timelines but they vary so much. I still have not decided to go with the K3 or the CR1...... But at this point I just want to get my wife home..... helpsmilie.gif

HELLO jlscott201!!! I totally understand what you are going through...and yes, they have doubled. My tickets to Mexico used to be about $500 and now for Christmas they have gone up to $1150...ouch. For a lot of you this may be cheap, comparing many of you are flying half of the world to see your loved ones and the tickets are a lot more. To me, $1150 it's ridiculous...Im in California and my husband is in Mexico...it't a 3.5 hour flight across the border. Why is it so much $$$$$ ? ? Yes, I get depressed too...all of us have gone through that. Anyways, I got my X MAS gift early because my husband bought me the ticket and I'll be spending X mas and New years with him. That was soooo sweet....in MEXICO (even US) that money is very hard to earn...considering that the wages are so low in Mexico, so he earned with a lot of hard work. I would remmoned you to do whatever your heart tells you...if you can affort it...GO FOR IT. It's SOOO worth it.

On another Note, I'm SOOO happy to see MORE July APPROVALS. Congrats D&N......for your recent approval. Congrats to all of the recent approvals.

Good luck.

Hello,
I filed in July. For some reason I thought it was sooner, but it took us a while to get the paperwork to the lawyer. There was a strike for several days in my husbands country hold up his ability to mail out his stuff.

Niether of my status have been update since the reciept number was issued, but i had already recieved my approval for my 130. rather early i thought. not complaining though. you would think i know everything since we are using a lawyer, but his assistant is not as knowledge and always is rude. three weeks ago we recieved the nvc bill for proof off income and another item. Does that mean my 129f was approved. my lawyer stated when i spoke to him that "THE GOVERNMENT SENDS US BACK A PACKAGE (YOU MAY CALL IT PACKAGE 3 OR WHATEVER YOU LIKE) REQUESTING THAT WE COMPLETE ALL IMMIGRANT VISA FORMS INCLUDING YOUR AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT AND ANY CO-SPONSORS. YOU WILL BE GETTING SOME ADDITIONAL QUESTIONNAIRES FROM US NEXT WEEK 3. WE SEND BACK TO GOVERNMENT 4. GOVERNMENT SENDS YOUR PACKAGE TO U.S. EMBASSY ABROAD. 5. EVENTUALLY YOUR HUSBAND WILL ATTEND AN INTERVIEW AT THE CONSULATE AND BE ISSUED A VISA. "

i never recieved the reciept number from the 129f so i called the law office get it, but never asked if had been approved. and the usc doesnt say anything, but neither does the 130 and i got the approval for that one.

Hello MrsJibowu,

Well you were approved very fast. However to answer your question, it appears that your I-129F has not been approved. NVC (National Visa Center) does not send out a bill for I-129F's. It appears you are going with your I-130 (CR1). Since your I-129F has not been approved, your I-130 was forwarded to NVC for processing. After you pay your bill, complete and send back the choice of agent form, send your I-864 to NVC and IV payment...after you complete all of these documents (which NVC will send out each at a time) that's when they send your case to your embassy. Your embassy will then send you an interview (I'm not sure how long this takes).

Hope this helps. Ohh by the way, you should ask for your I-129F receipt number and check the status of your case by calling USCIS.

Your embassy will then send you an interview (I'm not sure how long this takes).

Hope this helps. Ohh by the way, you should ask for your I-129F receipt number and check the status of your case by calling USCIS.

Hello,
I filed in July.

CONGRATULATIONS PECHEZ!!! We are very happy for you. Now we just have to wait to make it to NVC.

MrsJibowu,

I understand the reason you don't want to take the CR1 route, because the wait time is a lot longer. You should consider contacting VJ member DivineMercy. Her I-130 was approved before her I-129F...and she decided to wait on the I-129F and not continue the process at NVC for her I-130. She waited for a long time just to find out USCIS cancelled her I-129F because her I-130 had been approved for several months...so she was forced to take the CR1 route. She lost precious months due to her waiting for the approval of her I-129F and by the MISINFORMATION she was given at USCIS.

I just don't want you to wait for a long time and then for USCIS to tell you that your I-129F was cancelled and lose several months.

MrsJibowu
Yes Devind and I have spoken. She was the first person to suspect that my timeline looked like I was going to CR1 route. So I emailed my Lawyer to request my receipt number for my 129f, which he provided. When check the status at the website it only states the receipt date. my 130 only shows the receipt date, despite the fact that I already have the approval. So right now using the website to check the status means nothing to me.
I will do some research on Monday with my lawyer.
thanks again for your help.

I am not too worried about the cr1 process, because I have already paid the bill and just days away from submitting proof of support. either way is fine with me. i just feel for my husband which is in limbo right now. we thought he would be here for Christmas, then januaryand not maybe not till March.
