I have an aunt who is petitioning for her husband out of Scotland, and I am pet. my husband out of Pakistan...what we were both told is no, there's not technically a restriction, HOWEVER, you are more likely to be denied a visa.....and even MORE possibly to be denied entry (even with the visitor) visa if you are filing for an immigration visa...because they know you are trying to leave your country and pose a greater risk. I am not saying DON'T travel, I am just telling you what both the U.S. told me and the embassy in the UK told my aunt. All the best!
