nessa and i was talking last night and she remarked that she felt more conservative since she arrived, i feel i've become more liberal since she arrived. heaven forbid!

My wife was very liberal when we got married. Some of it has rubbed off on me, but she has started to share my concern over high tax rates.

I don't think we have changed our views that much, although with all the companies fleeing PR and going to cheaper countries hubby now says "Capitalism sucks" a lot.

I've always leaned to the conservative for most of my adult life. However, I voted for Jimmy Carter on my first presidential vote in my youth. Since then I have come to my senses about a lot of things as I have aged. That said, conservative isn't necessarily a political party or a political ideology. For me, it has more to do with my own personal views which are generally regarded as conservative. It doesn't necessarily mean I buy into everything labeled "conservative" by the label makers.

My wife could care less about American, Russian, Belarusian, or world poiltics. After she becomes a US citizen I really doubt if she will ever vote in any election. She has never voted in any election her whole life. She lives in her own little world and that is all she cares about. Yes...I'm a part of her little world.

I am sure some of my views could have slightly changed in the 3 years since Sujeet has been here, but overall not that much. I don't think his have changed that much either.

And not true. She is affected daily by her 'bigger' world, whether or not she cares to acknowledge it.

I think its quite natural for S.O.'s to change their views somewhat. I mean I didn't change alot but when we discuss certain issues I can definitly understand his P.O.V. and sometimes I will agree.

no change means you haven't changed. You're still as liberal or as conservative as you used to be. ''no'' means you haven't become more liberal or more conservative and maybe you were never none of them

Very much the same in our household.....but I'm not allowed to tell his mother that any liberal thoughts have entered his head
