As meticulous as I am, I am sure I am missing someone or something is wrong. All the info I got was what I got off the VJ timelines. I only included people who have logged onto VJ since September and have timelines (no timeline, no place on the list). As updates get made I will add/change the list as appropriate.

Question -- I'm trying to figure out when our petition will get to Lagos..it was sent out from NVC friday. Anyone have a clue how I can find out this information, like verifying that the Lagos consulate received it?

I would e-mail them to find out.

I'll have some info to add probably later this week.

I am at 150 days. So people waiting for NOA2 from April and May are at or past 180 days. I wonder if anyone has done anything and gotten a response. Like from USCIS about being at 180 days and still no NOA2. Anyone?

I might actually get to 180 days. I guess I better find out what one does when u reach six months with no answer. I don't get touches on the website either.

I think if you called them and told them you were at 180 days they can do an inquiry into your case. I am not sure about an e-mail address or anything like that where you can contact them though.

I know that for a couple of the May filers at or around 180 days they got RFEs so that may have impacted their numbers.

And VSC does not seem to like touching people. Not a lot are reporting touches.

Lets hope you get your NOA2 before reaching 180 days

Notice of Action is the noa. The first one is usually to tell you that they received your petition and they will process it. The second one is to tell you that they approved your petition. We call it NOA1 and NOA2 for short. They use a lot of acronyms on VJ. There is a dictionary of them up above.

Scan a copy of the NOA 1 and a copy of the NVC Letter if you have it and send him to the Consulate in Lagos to get Packets 3 and 4. He needs to have valid ID with him. There are only certain hours, which you can look up on the Consulate Website. When he gets the packets, he will get the interview date. Then he needs to go immediately and get his Police Certificate and his first medical visit. (No appt required). At the 1st medical appointment, they will give him the date of his 2nd appt. It should be before his interview.....Then you and he need to start getting the packet of materials prepared and you should deliver all your documents when you go there in Dec!

Thank you JJ! I did just that yesterday. My SO went to the embassy today...he said something about having to wait unitl 11am even though he got there around 8:30am...so maybe 11am is time to do things like this...on a Wednesday that is. We got our packets 3 and 4. Interview is January 10th.....second week of January...my my how times flies. I leave Nigeria on the 8th...i was soooo close to being there with him for the interview, but I have to return to work.

From your lips to God's ears......I'm at 154 days and counting. I really should stop counting. But, they should respond within 180 days right, so hopefully by the end of the year. If I knew it would take so long, I would have planned a wedding in Ghana and filed for a K3.
