Hello everybody,
I have got my advance parole document while AOS is pending and plan to make a trip home. Have anybody experienced any problem with passport control or airline company travelling from Russia back to USA with advance parole? Is there anything I can do to prevent a problem? Have you translated your advance parole for the russian passport control? I am really conserned that russian officers know anything about it.
I appreciate any information. Thank you.
Lena
Hey Lena,
My wife and I will travel to Russia over New Years, and she also just got her Ap documents recently. As far as I know, you need to make color copies of both pages of the AP and keep them with you at all times. You will not need to use it until you return to US. The border patrol will check the documents and should, i believe, leave one copy for themselves, they send it to USCIS, and stamp the other copy, giving it back to you. If you applied for a multiple AP then you should be able to use that stamped copy to travel elsewhere at later time. I called Aeroflot and they are aware of the Advance Parole document and know what it is, so I am also hoping of not experiencing any problems.
Good luck!
Mike.
