I would like to thank everybody here in VJ for the support and sharing your knowledge! My husband and I are finally together! kicking.gif I owe it all to you guys... the shortcuts, the tips, and the prayers! Thank you so much!

I went with him on his interview last October 29, showed my US passport to the front guard and they let me in. We were 7th in line and when we got our number inside the building, guess what? It's 6007 (Hah.. I can still remember our ticket number!) They called us on booth number #17 (you see?? do you think 7 is our lucky number that day? hmmmm...) and got interviewed by a Pinoy pre screener. He was so nice and didn't question us that much. We even laughing at each other, because he's such a joker! smile.gif After that, he told us to sit down and wait for our number to be called again...

Our number flashed once again and this time it's the Consul that will going to interview us. She's a nice young lady. good.gif She just asked my husband if his mother and father's name are correct, his birthday and that's it. She looked on our papers and pictures while talking to me. She was asking me about military life and where I'm stationed at and after that she asked my husband if he's ready to travel every 2 years with me because you know... military people will get orders every 2 years or sometimes 3 years or more depending on the base. My husband said yes then the consul said... "Well then, I have no more questions to ask".

At the end of our interview, she was explaining about how to get the visa and everything but I asked her if we could pick up his visa and she said YES right away. So, the next day... my husband picked up his visa in US Embassy good.gif and went straight to CFO to get his passport stamped.

We left Philippines last November 10 and when we arrived in Minneapolis, our POE, I asked them to update his visa from CR1 to IR1 since we've been married for 2 years already. (Thanks for the info that I've got from here about the update!) At first they were confused because they never have situation like that before but I explained to them that when I did the paperwork for him, were only married for less than 2 years. They gladly helped us and yaaay.. they change his visa to IR1.

Right now, we're just waiting for his SSN and green card to arrive!

Again, thank you all for your help!
