So, the XpressPost wasn't very "Express" and didn't arrive at Kristy's today. It was accepted at the Montreal Post Office on Wednesday morning. My thoughts are if it doesn't come on Monday while we're packing up the truck, it's not coming on Tuesday or in the foreseeable future and is lost in the mail somewhere.

Any of you guys think we should still plan on the Monday move? Could we go to the Post Office in Sarnia this afternoon and see if it's there? Maybe it got to Sarnia just after the mailman picked up today's mail for delivery.

If you have the tracking, you can call Canada Post, and ask them what is going on. Have you already tried this?

It's weird that the last update was that it was put in the post on Wednesday, and you haven't heard anything since.

The tracking number is sitting on my desk at home. I was hoping it was still in my History on my home computer and could retrieve it via Remote Desktop, but it wasn't. I think we will wait around and twiddle our thumbs on Monday waiting for the post man, and if it comes, then scurry to find a truck and move in the afternoon instead of in the morning.

Well, nevermind that. it did just come!!!! Turns out the guys that delivers XpressPost is different than the regular mailman.

Not "everybody" knows it's a different mailman...I sure as heck didn't lol.

Makes me wonder now: Do they knock on your door and try to deliver it? If you aren't there what happens? I may have to change the address I have mine mailed to just incase, since I'm not sure if I'll be around when they do try to deliver...

I sure didn't know. I ran out into the street and almost tackled our regular mailguy. Then the XpressPost truck pulled up . . .

If you are not home, they will bring the enveloppe to the nearest Canada post counter and you can pick it up the next day
