How do you know your 129F case has been touched? Can you folks please help?

I sent my 129F on 8/15/2007 through an attorney. We got NOA1 on 9/27/2007. Waiting for NOA2

Go to the USCIS website. On the left hand side there is a link called Case Status Online. Go there. Create an account and then link your case number to your account. You can sign up for email notifications whenever the status of your case changes.

"Touching" is overrated. It only means someone picked up your file and made a note of it. Some cases never gets touched and some do. It does nothing to really indicate any true progress.

I went to the USCIS website, got a login, added my case and the only information I have ever seen was the same as was on my I-797 (NOA). Yes, I signed up for the email notice too, AND I checked my junk mailbox. So, I don't even know what a 'touch' looks like even if I were to see it. I don't think it's very useful either.

I just wish there was a way to pour 'go go' juice in the immigration folks' coffee......

yeah, touching means nothing... heard it loadsa times... but I still got mildly excited last night when I FINALLY saw a date other than August 2 in the 'last updated' box

if we follow the trends, our NOA2 should arrive in the next day or two
