Incase any of you do not know this. There is some sort of social security agreement with the UK and USA. Sadly healthcare is not covered.

Unfortunately, the US Government is a bit behind on Healthcare. This has been a major issue when it comes to politics. We do have some great doctors, equipment, and medicines...but when it comes to providing healthcare for the people, well..needless to say, this country fails. The government here does not supply medical insurance to everyone. There are certain standards: such as a disability, being totally disabled, living in poverty, families with children under the age of 16 who are perhaps living below the poverty level...etc.

Most employers offer medical insurance, of course, you pay for it out of each pay. There is also a co-pay when you visit a doctor usually as well (usually about $10-30 dollars--depending on what type of insurance you have). I know since I am working, I am just going to add Pete to my insurance once he comes over and we are wed.
