I just got my NOA2 Tuesday and I was wondering what the current waiting times for UK interview appears to be. I know I still have the NVC malarky to go through.

Had a day celebrating and chilling out yesterday, now it's back to stress.

Bumping this because I'd like to know too!

I think it is normally a couple of months but if you have wedding plans they will do their best to accommodate them. I had a problem with my lease expiry date and they managed to give me an interview date within a month of my sending them Packet 3 (see my signature). I phoned the Department of State about 8 days after I couriered the P3 to the embassy and they were able to let me know the interview date. I booked the medical as soon as I had the case number from NVC.

I saw a post recently, can't remember exactly where, that seemed to show the time as being 2.5 months. I have looked on the embassy site and can't find anything at all other than the "5 days to receive visa" statement. Does anyone have a direct link to the wait time?

The wait time that's posted on the Embassy website is not for interviews, but how long it's taking them to process DCF I-130's. blush.gif

There's no info on the embassy website about how long it takes to schedule interviews. But that's what VJ was invented for!!! tongue.gif Going by recent interviewee' sigs on the interview thread

So going by those, it'll be roughly 3.5 months from NVC sending the file to the interview (3 months from emabssy receipt -> interview), and that's as long as we're able to send back packet 3 promptly to say we have everything ready.

This will take a while wacko.gif So, if by a miracle, NVC send on my file either today or early next week, the embassy should get the file at the end of the month and a rough interview guess is still end of February earliest.

I have a ticket booked for 20th February (long story short, I had to book a return flight from the US to get home on my last visit and chose that date at random as a "possibility"). So we'll see if the flying date might make a difference. Worst case scenario, my interview is after that date and I have to book another flight instead.

The average waiting time for UK filers from date of NOA2 to interview, for this year, is 96 days. I just did a query on the timeline search. So that's right in line with what people have been reporting here.

Send a covering letter explaining the situation with your Packet 3 and I am sure they will do their best to accommodate you if they can. I had a problem with my lease expiring and the time from my returning of P3 to my interview date was just one month.

Thanks for the replies. I am hoping to head over mid march. With these timelines it still looks possible.....JUST!

Yes, there's been lots of reports of people giving preferred dates, or intended travel dates, and the good ol' London Embassy coming through for them.

Hope it works out for you good.gif

Hi, I just got my NOA2 yesterday... As soon as the NVC receive my case number, I can call and book the medical? Is that right? Or do I have to wait for packet 3 first?

I booked my medical for about 3 weeks after I got my case number from NVC and I got my packet 3 in the post before I went to it.
