Hello VJers!!!

May I know when is the best time to call the Dept of State? What time is their office hours? 8-5pm?

Thanks a lot!!! I need to call them about my interview date.

Good luck everyone!!!

Call in the morning around 8:30, but avoid doing that on a Thursday because they have their meeting in the morning on Thursdays....at least that is what one specialist told me.

If you don't catch them early, it becomes virtually impossible to catch them later on...

thanks for the reply. i'm gonna call them next week.

thanks thanks!!

I started calling within 15 minutes of them opening. I just kept calling back until I got someone. Finally got answered about 5 minutes after opening. It gets alot harder to get in touch later in the day.

As I told you in another thread. You may be getting a Xmas present!
Start getting all you ducks in a row.
Have your lady take the St. Lukes medical NOW!
Best to do it as early as possible in case something pops up.
She only needs the NOA2, 3 pictures and her passport.
No need the appointment letter.
Call bukas and check the interview status online naman!

i read somewhere here that St. Lukes doesn't accept NOA2 anymore. The print-out schedule online is what they accept now. anybody who can confirm? i have my NOA2 and i can go to St. Lukes any day now if that's the case.

Ok, so I just called DOS and the guy told me that the embassy just sent the information packet to Beth today. Since this is USE in Manila, that should be packet 4 (because they skip 3) and it should have her interview and medical dates listed, does that sound right or am i mistaken? When I check the website it still shows no dates for my case number. hmmm confused....

don't mean to hijack the thread, on a more relevant note to the thread subject I called about 1:00pm central US time. Had to hold for maybe 5 minutes before they answered.

Hi ! I want to know if the beneficiary will receive a hard copy of NOA2. My fiancee received it last Oct 12. I called the Embassy and was informed that they received and encoded our case last Nov 16. Will St. Luke's allow me to have my early medical with just the printed copy of NOA2 which my fiancee sent me (email)?
