I entered the US on a K1 visa & after we married I applied for AOS & an EAD. I filed as an "A6" but I don't know if that was right. Should I have filed under "C9" & what is the difference between the 2 anyway, I just don't understand? Please help.

A-6 is the temp 90 day EAD that expires 90 days after entry, it allows work only during that period, and cannot be renewed, it costs $340

C-9 is the 1 year EAD issued based on AOS filing, and is included in AOS fee.

K-1 should not file for A-6 EAD it results in a useless $340 EAD card because it takes nearly 90 days to get.

Thanks for that, I'd better get on the phone & ask them to change it to C9.
