I am a new memeber folks please excuse me .. I know people in here have discussed this topic several times but I would like to know what happens or what is package 3. I have mailed in these forms to the national visa center what happens now. I hear i am going to receiver package 3 how long does it take to get that does anyone know.? i have mailed in DS-230 parts 1-2 and affidavit or support and some check stubs... birth cerfticate..etc..? please take your time and reading I know is a lot.

This is a link to a scanned copy of a UK Embassy Packet 3 http://www.visajourney.com/gallery/thumbna...y&uid=30186 . I expect the Canada one will be a little different but it should be pretty similar and will at least give you an idea of what to expect.

You wait. That's what you do.

Then after a few months, if all your paperwork looks good, they tell you case complete.

Then you wait some more.

Then after a month or two, they tell you your case has been sent to the Embassy.

Then you wait again.

Then the Embassy will send a package with more forms and instructions to fill out and interview date.
