Hi all, who knows if the marriage license is necessary to get marry in Texas state?? How much it costs?? Where can I get one?? Thanks.

Hi guys, thanks for the help. My brother ilegal got married one year ago in Dallas Tx, and he didnīt need the license, but I had doubt to respect if itīll be different when people enter to USA with visa... But, thanks a lot anyway good.gif

Here in Utah you actually can. It's called a common law marriage which is when a man and a woman never had a formal ceremony. If all conditions are met (mostly those of married couples) these couples can file for common law marriage to be assisted in certain matters (custody, etc). They are valid marriages and recognized here in Utah at least.

Hellooooo? Sure, a lot of states have "common law" marriage, but do you really think USCIS would recognized that for satisfying the requirements of the K-1 VISA? The OP is on a K-1.
