Hi everyone. I have a problem and I am asking for advice and/or if anyone else has had this happen, and what action was taken if U did have this happen to U or to someone U know.
I received an Sep 24th letter from NVC with the immigrant visa (IV) fee bill attached. Using the enclosed envelope, I paid the $380.00 fee (made out to Department of State and sent to NVC/St. Louis Mo. per the instructions) via a postal money order, enclosed the IV fee bill per the instructions, mailing it out Oct 4, and using the enclosed envelope.
Having returned from PI today, there was, in my mail, a letter from NVC, dated 11 Nov( But the letter was generated from NVC at Oct 18), which stated there was missing documentation. The missing documentation was the Immigrant Visa fee, which apparently has not been received. Further, the missing documents list page stated that I could not pay the fee without the accompanying IV fee bill accompanying it, meaning I cannot simply pay the bill a second time in order to speed things up, inasmuch as the fee bill was already sent with my payment

As long as you have paid the IV bill, the next step will be the I-864 (if you have not send that in yet) and the DS230. Once you have both forms and documents sent in, then your case will be completed with NVC.

Good luck on your journey!

I too had the same issue.. The error was generated 1st before the payment was received..
Everything is alright.. Try calling them.. That's what I did..
Good Luck!!

That's correct. The letter you received was most likely mailed out before they received your payment and the documentation they're missing is the DS-230 and all other documents you need to send along with it.
Call the NVC to make sure they have received your payment.

No, you have to call NVC at 603 334-0700. There is no other way to find out. To get through to a live person instead of automatic line, you have to call either early (when they just opened) or very late (they are about to close).
Hours: Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 AM (EST)

Hi Arshad,
Keep on callling them, I also got the same harrowing expereince as you would see below from my timeline they took 37 days to encash my 380$ fee as it was lot some where or put on some kind of hold which god only knows. You have to call NVC and tell them about the payment you have sent them. In the mean time tell them to send you a second fee bill so you can send the fee again and as soon as they encash the first or the second payment , you can cancel the other money order.
Best Of luck
Jigi
