I just need to know how long it usually takes for the process from iscis to nvc to getting visa takes? It seems we have been waiting forever . We got married march 2006 and we are not together yet. Please, can someone help me to understand? Thanks

Imposible to answer, there are too many vaiables at USCIS, like name checks, AR at NVC, name checks at consulate.

First thing you should do is start a timeline, and then use the timelines to help you answer questions just like this one.

One other thing, If you have not filed for Visa yet, consider carefully the CR-1 visa (Filing I-130 ONLY) this is an IMMIGRANT visa which costs less than K-3, allows work upon entry to the USA. K-3 requires EAD (90 days to get) to work, and AOS ($1010) to get green-card.

Compare CR-1 and K-3 timelines for your country, for most CR-1 takes slightly longer than K-3 to get.

elaborate please, u said u get married march 2006 that is all, which stage re u in application processing, where were stuck, uscis, nvc, embassy?

Have you tried emailing the consulate in Casa? I would be on the phone with NVC and emailing the consulate until I had some answers. Good luck and let us know what you find out.
