My husband (canadian) and I (american) are living in canada and are doing direct consular filing. We have our interview date this month. My question is, we have moved last month to another location in canada, and emailed the consulate to inform them of the move. Is there anything more we need to update? The form on the website says only for US addresses. Should we update and put our new address on our affadavit of support and other forms that we are submitting to the consulate during the interview?

I'm pretty sure you'll have to update your address on your AOS document

There are direct filing (DCF) thus doing a cr-1 or ir-1. Did they email you back confirming the addy change? If not I would email them again. As well at the interview they will ask you to check over the documents and if there is to be changes (ie address) you can make them there as well.

Nothing else to do but perhaps email MTL again to make them acknowledge your change of addy - or better yet, mail them an 'official' letter through XPress Post so you have the signature receipt. We also did DCF (never moved though); so that's our ony contact!
How was the move?????

or... on a second thought... if your interview is this month, ALL you really need is an address in Canada where they will send your stamped visa: this could very well be your new address (or other, I used a friend's since our apartment was empty by then!). Either works.... just remember they are not extremely smart.. wacko.gif
Good luck on that interview!!!!
