Does anyone know if they're still doing that? Where if you fly through JFK you are able to get an EAD for like 90days or something, i've heard it before but I haven't seen much on it recently?

They still stamp your passport with the temporary EAD - expires when your I-94 does (90 days).

He could get a job with that though correct? Although i'm not really sure why they do that, because you'll never get your greencard in time for when the EAD expires, so you'd have to quit the job you already got?

Might not get a green card in time, but it's possible to get EAD. It's (the temporary EAD) is not hugely useful, but if the circumstances are right, a person could make some use of it.

Yep they still do it,got mine when I came here end of September.
And it was no use to me,I have been here 2 months and still dont have my SSN#,they dont like hiring anybody in this state without it.
If I would of got my SSN# sent earlier then yes I would of tried to make use of the temp.EAD stamp.
