Hi Guys
I still waiting for my Permanent Green card and I'm getting a little impatient, I'm having problems trying to cash checks or whenever people ask me to show a valid ID,is somebody having similar problems?

Why don't you show them your driver's license or state ID if you get ID'd. I've never used my greencard for ID purposes except immigration.
Anyway, hope you get your approval and greencard soon. Looks like Vermont takes about 6 months to process I751, so your case should be up soon. Good luck!

Yeah, what tweety said. I've never had to pull out my green card in the last 2 years for ID purposes. It's always my driver's license that gets looked at. Do you have a valid driver's license? Or is it going to expire at the same time as your 2-year green card?

Thank you for your response, there is just one problem, I don't drive = no Drivers Licence, and to be honest I carry my Green card with me all the time.
6 months??? OH my God! I better take a sit.

That's why there's state IDs - for the non-drivers to use as ID.

Yeah. I got my state ID half a year before I got my driver's license. It beat carrying around my passport with me everywhere I went. Is it too late for you to try and get a state ID, Mazzella?

Thank anyway!
