On the form AR-11, when filling it out, it asks for your 'A' #, (9 digits)... but it also doesn't have a red asteriks by it. (So, not needed).... but, if you don't have your green card yet, is that number on my temporary visa in my passport, or no? They all seem to be 8 numbers.

Yep it was written on the back of my I-94 in pen...

It had A# then the 8 digits.. It is also on the K-1 Visa as well Under the expiry date.

Not sure why they have space for 9 digits - mine is 8 as well...

I believe it's also on your NOA's as well - might want to take a looksee there as well!!

Thanks. I'll check my NOA's. On my visa in my passport, I have an 8 digit registration #, and also an 8 digit # in red, underneath my expiry date. Could it be one of those?

It's in there indeed. - Below the date they put down in pen: A********** so that's the one sweetie.
