I have justed received notice via the USCIS website that both my wife's I-129F and I-130 have been approved. Hopefully it will be arriving at the NVC soon.

Has anyone else gone through the Bogota, Colombia Embassy recently? How long has it been taking once it arrives at NVC to the time of interview? If my wife completes the DS-230 ahead of time can she send it in as soon as her documents get to the Embassy? I am trying to speed this up as much as possible. I am in Iraq now and will be coming home for a couple weeks in January. I really want to be with her when she first meets my family.

Is this a realistic goal? I had luck with a military expedite request at USCIS. I submitted the request and was approved 4 days later. I do not know if that had anything to do with it or if it was just coincidence.

I would appreciate any knowledge anyone can throw my way.

This place has been a blessing for us. Without this site I do not think we would be this far with her visa.

Thank you. We started this process shortly after I got here. My mom has been our greatest help back in the states. She has been sending and receiving everything for us. This is a difficult process, but between my mom and this site we have not had any problems.
