I know we all get conflicting and/or contradictory information when we call USCIS to get status updates, but here was my call to CSC this morning:
I explained that my NOA-1 has a January 24, 2008 receipt date on it and the NOA-1 date is February 13, 2008. I explained that I originally submitted my application to CSC in October 2007 and it was prior to them changing their procedures instructing I-130s to be mailed to the Chicago Lockbox. I asked when would my file be processed, does it go by when the petition was submitted (October 2007) or the receipt date (January 2008)? He said, usually, the receipt date should be the date it was received in the mail room (so, it should of been October 2007) and they process petitions by the receipt date, as listed on the NOA-1. I stated my case: my petition was submitted in October 2007 and should be processed by that date and the date on the NOA-1 was incorrect. All he said is he would pull the file and determine if it was it's turn to be adjudicated.
I'm not going to hold my breath that this call will accomplish anything, but it is a last ditch effort to get things moving before I write my senator and ask for an inquiry.

nope i dint get that.. i just pushed prompts that led me to somethin abt if u received a letter from uscis requiring additional doc please pre.. then entered my recpeit number. and then someone pikum up sayin good mornin vermont service center..
mine said nothin abt rfe?
I just want to know something soon.

I called Customer service 800 number ...to get on RFE trick but it looks like Some USCIS rep picked up ...Re
peated samething whats being said on website begining to an end ....finally said pending and wait for 6 months lol

I feel just sad. I am certain that the rep I spoke with yesterday was just humoring me. The last time I contacted CSC using the RFE trick, it resulted in an immediate touch on my file. Since my call yesterday, there was not another touch. I think the guy was just making stuff up and trying to get out of the office on a Friday.

well, we already know that noone tells you the same thing and even what they DO tell you doesnt make truth...
but. I thought about this. they have to know we filed in october.
1) it happens to EVERYONE that filed in october...so what..noone filed an I-130 in oct???
2) the october date is on our NOA1..so they have to have a RECORD that we filed in october..even if it isnt our receipt date...???
I think they know we are all october and should be honored..but I think our files got put under the people that didnt have to send to the lockbox??????????

same goes for me. though i received my NOA1 in january, but it indicates that it was received in november.

oh. well mine..and I know hyde.. our NOA1 state that they were received in October...strange
yup our NOA 1 states on i797 receipt for i130 received on oct 16 in the received date box and notice date is jan somehtin i forget.. when i called VSC they said they see my received date oct 16 in their system.. my fingers r crossed....

hi there! we sent ours november 2007 they got it november 20, 2007 but we got out NOA1 january 23, 2008 and up to now still nothing!

I filed in October too, my NOA1 reflects the received date as october and the Notice date as january when they finally got to processing the application. If you mailed ur application to them and u have a confirmation date as to when they received it.. then u might want to give them a call and ask about this cuz the only other reason why an application may not reflect the date received is, if it was mailed back as incomplete.. some forms missing, the fees (check missing or wrong), etc. I'd definately check on that.. its a big difference.

I think the problem is that your first I 130 was sent back to you as incomplete due to the signature problem you had, so when you sent the pettition back in after you got the rejection notice they had you as only filing in Jan.. Problem with that is that it was their fault you did not know it was rejected until Jan because of all the backlog going on. If I were you I would try to explain that to someone there because with out showing them some type of proof or getting someone there to see your side of the story I think they will consider you as a Jan filer.

thanks.. no touch at all excpet for today 4/21/08 which told me abt the approval last touch was 2/24/08 when they paried my i129f and i 130 togehter...

so i rolled out of bed almost FELL out , scrmabled for the keyboard. took 5 min to sign in cuz myhands were shakin.. saw the aproval
got aphon care went to ccall huby and he told me why r u awake so early LOL i said cuz i got a text mesage on my phone sayin WE GOT APPROVED!! he was so happyyyyyy woke my whole house up!!

kity if u have a yahoo email id this is how idid it.. go to the email u have from CRIS whenu registered ur account on uscis then clik on add mobile alert.. and then filter it so u only get a text mesage if its from CRIS..
try playin with it.. im sure ul figure it out..

lsma, shrewdie, our approvals are gonna come soon... Im praying for that. Stay positive about it. lsma call them.. use the rfe trick.. just pester them until you know for sure where in the process is your case. If you can't get anywhere with them, try the ombudsman.. then congressman. Any and all. If you gotta wait.. might aswell make some noise so they dont forget about you.

my husband is in india so he needed to get his PCC from pasport office and one PCC from police office.. he will be mailin those to me with in the next 2 weeks. and all originals, original birth certi.. passport copy of biographic page, original mariage cert and i think thats it why dont u chek out the link i am on i130 route.. i need to fil out the afidavit of suport and im gatherin my tax 1040 forms and w2's from past 3 yrs and also my assets from bank acct, and ummm my employment letter from company and my pay stubs... my husband wil be mailin me his SIGNED copy of DS230
as i will be choice of agent...remember all originals and i think the foreign spouse gets it bak durin interview.. are u the US citizen or the foreigh sppouse?

I am the US citizen ....wife in india...I have couple of concerns ? Do we get originals back during interview?
How are you getting PCC (police clearance certificates) ? do they need any request letter from uscis or just simply apply at Passport and local police head quarters??

my husband is in india so he needed to get his PCC from pasport office and one PCC from police office.. he will be mailin those to me with in the next 2 weeks. and all originals, original birth certi.. passport copy of biographic page, original mariage cert and i think thats it why dont u chek out the link i am on i130 route.. i need to fil out the afidavit of suport and im gatherin my tax 1040 forms and w2's from past 3 yrs and also my assets from bank acct, and ummm my employment letter from company and my pay stubs... my husband wil be mailin me his SIGNED copy of DS230
as i will be choice of agent...remember all originals and i think the foreign spouse gets it bak durin interview.. are u the US citizen or the foreigh sppouse?

ok even im the us citizen.. ya i heard we do get the originals bak at embasy.. so dont wory but i would make lots of copies of eveyrthin we mail.. and get the PCC from the local offices.. my husband did that today.. it wil be in his hands within 15 days or earlier.. noneed to request USCIS for anything NOW LOL

To get PCC from passport office is straightforward. They have application forms to complete, I think we paid Rs.300 as a fee.
To get police station is little nightmare! The petitioner may have to submit a request (at least in my case) along with other details of the beneficiary. They will take their own sweet time to issue it. Typically a month or so. But in our case, one of our relatives knew SP and others, so we got it in 2 days. My wife will be mailing everything by DHL tomorrow and it should reach here in 4 business days.

I can tell you Im on day 156 and I'm not liking it And i'm not sure why i have the opening from day of our lives running through my head "like sand in the hourglass......these are the days of our lives". I have decided to just take some time off from things and just try to relax, its getting wamer out so I think i will start to come out of hibernation, clean the yard a bit, refinish my back porch, and figure out when I want to put down some hardwood flooring. And to help me sleep at night some congac and good ol Dominican cigar. My wife just got a job after seeking for months after she relocated to another state so I will have a bit more free time away from MSN. Im putting it in gods hands and doing my best to forget about it as much as possible.
