Yes, this is the latest update. So if the Chicago Lockbox is so up to date through 8/20/2007, where is my NOA1 which was received by them on August 14??????????????????????? This is bull.

Dod, I am so confused on this Chicago Lockbox, as it says August 20th ok, but is that the date they received or the date the service centers received? Vague information, and have heard from alot of different sides on this that some applications were not transferred to Chicago and stayed at their service center. No information that is concrete here, so I cant believe anything that I am seeing....you can try to call USCIS next week to see if you are in the system but ya know thats a coin flip on accurate information, not being in the system, but getting correct information.

Happy Holidays even tho they are so rough for many of us right now, but just hang on...what else can we do but wait, I would wish for an I-129f entry into the system but as you can tell neither of my applications nor a few other mates here have either one entered from August or September forward. Confusing yes, expected yes.

I am waiting till second week January and then will probably refile the the I-129f if nothing shows up. When I see K1's I-129's being entered in three days and receipts sent, grrrrrrr....not at them, but at the system. Just seems if your application is a spousal visa then there is a red flag to hold back for future development. JUST WRONG!!!!

One thing that I got a kick out of was another VJ member saying to me on the phone, why can the IRS (oh yes them lol) process into the system millions of applications received on April 15th and yet, USCIS has to relie on outside contractors (ok maybe this is good now) to get the job done. Again piss poor management and not thinking ahead of supply and demand. Raise rates yeah go for it USCIS, but expect to have a line of applications flood your system, and if you are not ready for this, then wait on the fee raising until you can handle it.

helpsmilie.gif and tosses USCIS some more VISINE FOR THEIR COFFEE!!!!!
Delicia
The K-1's are getting their NOA-1s, but as far as I can tell, the K-3 NOA-1s are being held up same as the I-130s. Since the CR-1/IR-1 visa seems to be a better deal and the I-130 will be put on hold as soon as the K-3 begins processing, doesn't seem to make much sense to file for the K-3 after waiting months for the I-130's NOA-1, imo.

Hello everybody,

We also filed in November. My wife (a USC) mailed I-130 and G-325s to Nebraska Service Center on November 13th. It was received on the 15th according to USPS tracker. But we have heard nothing from USCIS yet.

My wife is from Minnesota. That is why she mailed the petition to Nebraska Service Center. But we have started to panic now! Even the USCIS website does not have processing time up for I130s that are sent to NSC. Can somebody please help me by explaining about WHAT HAPPENS TO THE I-130 MAILED TO NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER? Your responses would be highly appreciated.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi,

I have filed my I-130 to NSC on 11/8/07 and recieved on 11/13/07 according to USPS. I have not heard anything either and my check has not yet cashed. I am a US citizen filing for my husband in China. Normally it ususally takes a few weeks before we will get notice from them, but now is over a month. What makes me upset is that the USCIS weekly updates give you no information. They always say all forms current. How can they be current and I have not recieved nothing from them??? I've called the customer service line many many times trying to figure out what happened to my applications, but all they said is that Nebraska didn't say they fwd'd their applications like the other service centers. I questioned how did she know, she just said that's what it say on the weekly updates. I almost fainted. They cannot give me any additional information other than what I can see myself too. Please someone give me some advices what is happening to our applications now!! thank you very much

Nebraska doesn't process I-130s and never has. The forms tell you to mail it there depending on which state you live in, but Nebraska would, before last week anyway, forward the application to either California or Vermont, depending upon what state you lived in. Now, Nebraska should be forwarding your application to the Chicago Lockbox which will do the initial data entry. Then the application will be forwarded from Chicago to either California or Vermont. People who submitted I-130s in August are still waiting on there receipt, so get in line. smile.gif

As of now, USCIS has not stated if Chicago will be cashing the checks and issuing the NOA-1s or if California or Vermont will be doing the deed after they receive the files back from Chicago. Anyone's guess is good.

I filed the I-130 to the Nebraska Center on October 24.
Is it true that these aren't being handled in Nebraska but are being transferred?

Is it possible to just go back to my husband's country and file there? Or is it too late because I've already filed here?

Thank you!!

I can't wait to hear about someone from October who has had their NOA1 - especially someone who filed originally to Vermont as I think those are coming through still a bit behind those filed originally to CSC. Probably because when they all went to Chicago Vermont was a month behind California.

Who is going to be the first October filer with an NOA1!

Met too, very much so. We filed originally on Oct. 1st, but were asked for more stuff, so the date Nebraska got it all would probably be Oct. 17th???? Anyway. I am so stressed out and frustrated with a process that have a problem falling asleep lately. We are trying to decide whether my hubby should come see me this summer. I have still hope that we are be done with the immigration process by October 2008.

who the ****^$&(% knows hun, cause look at the August filers, if they are so up to date, where are their NOA1's - this is a total crock that they are posting such erroneous information on their website, we all know it holds no water, but this is plain wrong to do to people in having them believe they are next in line when August and September are still pending.

new Update in 10/18/2008 form Chicago lockbox .......... now most likely the mailing department is delayed ....

I am assuming their is a department that scans all the information into a database then a mailing department that prints the NOA’a , package and mail them. Them timeline is probably showing when it in the database.

So now …. If today’s information 10/18 went to the database on January 11th by the time it get mailed it will be 1/13th 5-7 day delivery should start seeing my January 18th

CSC received our application on 10/9/2007. Chicago supposedly processed that last Monday but so far the check hasn't been cashed. We will give it until the end of the week before pursing matters with the USCIS. It is concerning that there are still several late September filers who haven't yet received their NOA1s. I got quite excited last week when I saw Chicago had processed applications on our date but as each day passes I am now getting more worried whether we will ever see a NOA1.
Delicia
I'm home today so I thought it was a good opportunity to contact USCIS and inquire about my I-130 and its missing NOA-1. I got transferred to the second stage customer service rep who obliged me with a name check in their system and found that I wasn't in it (no kidding, you say!)

I asked about the Chicago Lockbox processing and he advised that although the website is listing processing up through Oct 22, 2007, it does not mean that ALL applications prior to that date have had their initial data input completed.

Unfortunately, this rep I spoke with had a very thick accent and I was struggling to communicate with him at any level, so I decided not to pursue it any further. I will try again towards the end of the week and perhaps I will get someone I can understand.

Congratulations to those of you have just received your NOA1s or checks cashed.

Unfortunately for us it has been a roller coaster ride the past 24 hours.

Yesterday Kim opened her mailbox to find a big envelope from USCIS. She thought it was a bit big for a NOA1 and on opening it turned out to be a rejection letter. In her excitement back in October she had mistakenly dated the check October 2008 so they rejected the application. sad.gif

It has gone back in the post today with a correctly dated check and a letter requesting that they honor the original filing date. Hopefully they will look favorably on us and we can stay as October filers. When I first read Kim's email I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Having waited 3 months for the NOA1 and then to be hit by this. Even if we end up at the back of the queue and become January filers I will eventually get that elusive green card. In the mean time back to watching the NFL playoffs on Channel Five. smile.gif

Received NOA1 in mail today! Check was cashed earlier in the day. Our I-130 was sent on 10-10-07 and received at VSC on 10-12-07. The date on our NOA is 1-11-08. I checked the USCIS "Case Status Online" and we still are not in the system. All-in-all a good day. content.gif Thanks to the Lockbox folks for making up 3 months worth of backlog in 2 weeks. good.gif
