Hi Zorro... Im not sure.. my guess is they would send a letter to inform you of receipt of your case and the case number assigned to it. I also heard that you can call their customer service and use your USCIS case number to get information on your status and nvc case number. give it a try... Also there is another thread I've seen which is NOA2 to NVC.. u might wanna ask there too..as they are going thru the same process as u now. Good luck and keep us posted with your progress.

I happened to read this post just after...
here is a link to the portion of NVC's website that tells you how to track your case:

Someone posted the link in Igor's August and September thread. You need to have your receipt number from USCIS and your or your fiance's name and birthdate. Once it gets there, I think they assign it a different number, and you can use that to track it, but obviously you won't have it the first time you call.

hey kity i dont knowww im jus prayin for VSC to pik up on approvals like CSC did... i am thinkin by end of march or DEfinately in april we should hear somehtin.. i chek a milion times a day.. and notthin.. i havent even had any toches since 2/24/08
i am getin more and more saddd i cant wait for that day i see the approval email... i am gona have a party hehe

Thats goona fill the queue again for them, i think thats 1 of reasons they want to clear as much possible room
for those H1B visa petitions since they have priority over all other types of visas!

Yes my K3 Case has been touch, i know that 2 of those touches where because they updated my address
They Had it incomplete and they correct it that.
VSC is working with other types of cases since last week, K1 and others.
If you search here in the forum for other type of visas from vermont
you will see tons of approvals. We will know when they will resume with I-130 & I-129F when
people who filed to vermont start getting their approvals and they start to update their timelines.

Woohoo!! Touched!! First time since January. It's so good to see our group getting approvals and stuff finally. Congrats to everyone that has been approved, and a "we're almost there!!" to all the rest of us that are still waiting and checking every hour. Heh. And of course, GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!

i sent my I-130 0n November 14th 2007. VSC received it on November 16th 2007. I got NOA1 on January 24th 2008. I havent received or seen any changes to my file yet. has anyone else seen changes? I am filing for IR1/CR1 visa for my wife. my estimate date for my I-130 approval date is May 8th 2008.

Hyd617, if you look at Delicia spreadsheet, you will see that some October and even November VMT filers got approved as well. And I think nobody should worry about the touches, mine was touched ones when they recieved it at the CSC and that was all.
