I'm assuming that even though we are Oct/Nov filers that if we received our NOA1 and it says received January 2008 then this is the date we should be going by for processing times?
My husband has called USCIS and told them that we sent our petition in Nov and they said they can not changed the received date which has been entered into their system.
AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH
On my printed NOA1 it says - received date October 10th - notice date January 10th
On the online system is says they 'recieved' my application on January 10th
I'm not sure what that makes our date to go my for processing times but I'm sure everyone will still be processed in order so it doesn't make that much difference in the long run

The received date will be the one they will use, I was told when I called them.. tho they are now saying it will take 9-10 months for processing

I think its best to go by what they are doing, and VSC is processing August petitions.. so the august petitioners are getting adjudicated in 6 months!

For all those people who can finally view there case online...has anyone received a touch yet...i know its probably too early to ask that since my case was just inputted on Feb 24th but this whole process is so torturing...I probably would have rather not see my case at all until I got my approval...i probably look at my case status every 10mins....I'm going nuts here....

Hehe.. I check mine twice per day.. and it hasn't changed. I dont know if it's more nerve wracking anticipating that "touch", or will it be worse after its been "touched"

Needless to say, this process is sooo long and stressful.

9-10 months it is an estimation that USCIS put on its website, where it says "Immigrant petitions for relatives and workers may take 9-10 months". But I would go with VJ prognosis for adjudication. Now it says my petition can be adjudicated as early as May 30th. And I think that is possible considering that CSC and VSC are working on approving August/ September petitions now. By the way their NOA1 were recieved in December 2007/early January 2008.

Here is the link to the timeline of the VJ who sent his petition on November 20, 2007 to VSC and got approved on Feb 2, 2008. As far as I know it is the only approval for November petitions I've seen on this forum, though it doesn't fit any logic. Hope approvals will keep on coming.

It is just an estimation based upon what other VJ members put in. As USCIS speeds up with approvals my estimation for ex. changed from June 1 to May 30 to May 25th on VJ website.

My guess its because u have already been approved by USCIS and they have forwarded your case to NVC for the next process and if approved on to your embassy for interview and possible visa! The 1-129f should have been submitted while your I-130 was being processed.

It seems that your I129F was sent in too late to get processed as a K3. How long after sending the I130 did you send the I129f? I would venture to say it was far behind. So your I-130 or CR1 visa was approved and sent on to NVC. You are on the CR1 route to an immigration visa...which is a good thing. Don't worry about the I129f anymore. Just follow the instructions you get from the NVC on the I-130.

The RFE line said the same thing about me too, and the Rep said they didn't see anything in the system that I have an RFE, which would make sense, seeing how my case hasn't been touched since the NOA1 back in Jan.
You indeed ARE a October filer, you're just noted in the system with a JAN NOA1 date, but your petition was still "received in the mailroom" in October...go by that date and have trust in it and not let others confuse you cause thats all they will do. The organization of USCIS is a bit all over the place at times and people on the phone can really be confusing, but your hardcopy NOA 1 should show the date of October in which is was received in the mailroom. Why do you just want to get a "call touch"?

These are absoulutely nothing, just means that the CSR looked your case up online, they see exactly what you see on the USCIS website and it creates a "call touch". The touch you want is the one that comes, when you have NOT called, that means that an Adjucator accessed your file. This is who you want a touch from, not CSR. Those CSR touches can confuse you and maybe cause more anxiety. This is why the CSR can't really tell you if you have a RFE until AFTER you've gotten assigned to an adjucator.

OMG! I was touched twice this week. At least I checked twice this week and the date changed 2 times. it could've changed everday but who knows. i am praying that this is cause someone is processing me. CSC is definitely in October cause there are like 3 or 4 approved petitions already so please God let this be my time.

Ok, so I just called the RFI number cause I'm not sure if i have an RFI or not. The automated system says that I do, but the customer service operator says no I don't.
I spoke to a woman who was SOOOOO nice! She was very detailed an explained things well...i was quite surprised. She wanted to know what the automated line specifically said about needing information...i told her. she said she did not see anything in her system, but she said she could see that my case was currently being processed with an adjucator!!!!

I about flipped my lid. She put me on hold to get more info. She said they are currently working on October petitions so all you Octies out there..ITS OUR TIME!!!
So hopefully there really isn't a RFI and I am soon to get an email from CRISS.
