From my initial read through, my husband would qualify (if he applies as a Chilean) and he has one of those 'in-demand' job classifications.

Should he drop a registration just on the off chance it may be a faster immigration process than the IR-1? Can he have both pending?

So, how does it work, as far as actually getting the visa? Do the winners have to wait in a long line to be processed? Or is it rather speedy? I see that the winners aren't notified until July, so that is already a long wait and our IR-1 application will be 9 months old by then.

AM A NIGERIAN, AND NIGERIA HAS THE HIGHEST WINNER EVERY YEAR, WITH ALMOST 9,000 OUT OF 55,000 IN THE WHOLE WORLD, WITH THAT ALOT OF PEOPLE HAVE BEEN PLAYING MORE THAN TEN YEARS BUT NUTHING COMES OUT OF IT. just keep ur heads up and be praying, GOD will answer ur prayer, we re all in the same boat, let's keep on praying.he can play it, it does not affect ur application so he can still play it, but keep ur mind torwards ur application.GOD will help.
