I exchanged part of our cash when it hit about $1.03, exchanged the rest of it yesterday.

I had opened a TD borderless plan last month so I could quickly transfer it online when the rates shot up and it has worked quite well.

As an example if you moved 10k right this minute in to a TD U.S. account you would get $10,616.84 USD - not bad, the rate is $1.00 USD = $0.9419 CDN

What are you getting with customhouse?

Today I made $298.29 on $5000. That was about 10 minutes ago so the rates may have gone up?

They have that place at the top of the main custom house page - top left hand corner - where you can do a foreign exchange conversion - do you actually get the rate they show as the result or is that without fees?

I think that's the rate that you get (they don't charge fees). At the time of my trade the exchange rate was 0.94370000.

So for $5000 - Custom house $298.00 vs TD Borderless $306.00

Very close rates - yay for profit!!

Considering we had originally anticipated that we would be losing a lot of money, I'm quite pleased about this good.gif
