1) What exactly is a false RFE, and how do you know? (i.e. does the operator simply state this?)
2) UNFORTUNTATELY I have "missing or incomplete" information on my financial I-864 and a checklist has been sent. Am I to assume this is a true rfe, or false, or what?
3) The message says "we have reviewed your packet of forms and found missing or incomplete...have sent checklist for correction..." Does this mean the rest of the packet is fine? In other words, can I assume this will be the only RFE for the financial documents, or do you think they could receive my correction, then send ANOTHER RFE for whatever reason?

The operator says there is a discrepancy on part of my I-864 form, so I suppose it is indeed for real.

The operator should be able to tell you what is missing or incomplete. It's not a bad idea to ask them exactly what it is, that way if it is a document you can get the ball rolling in obtaining it right away. good luck.
