Full Version: Interview date after approval validity date
I just noticed that my approval notice for our I129F says 'Valid from 08/14/2007 to 12/13/2007'. And our interview date is on Dec 20th 2007. Is this a problem? Should I be doing anything???
I would not worry about it, Consulates have the power to extend the validity of of the approval notice, and they often do, without any request on your part. You could always email the Consulate asking them, to calm your nerves.
It is usually never required, but you could always submit a request to extend the validity, a sample is on VJ:

we had the same problem. what I did is that I emailed Mumbai embassy explaining this situation (I129F validity expiring) and I specifically asked them if this will be any issue. They replied back saying just one line "Do not worry aobut this, it will not be a problem"..and I had given a copy of this email to my wife when she went for her interview. You could do the same. this way, you have something to show them..
if they make any fuss... hope this helps..gluck....
We had the same issue as well and did what Soni has explained above. We did not have any issues.
